To start positively, most staff members we encountered were very polite and courteous. The check-in process was smooth and easy. The hotel provided a free shuttle to the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater, which was an added bonus we were unaware of.
Now the less than great: The smell of the property was far less than pleasant. The property appeared to be in the middle of renovation, which is fine, but it was messy. The garbage cans were piled up on both the main level and our level. You’re provided a small trash can inside the room, but no trash in the bathroom. (This would be nice for feminine products, etc)
When we were walking toward our room, there was a shower curtain sat in the hallway, and a dead cicada by the door near the elevator. We went to our concert, returning around 10:30PM. The trashes were not emptied, which is understandable due to the concert.
We left to get food, returned around 1:30AM, and the trashes were (more) full. Shower curtain and cicada were still chillin’ in the hall. We got to our room and both of our keys were deactivated. We went to the desk and the attendant, who was down the hall, asked for my ID. I took my wallet out and struggled getting my card out, as one often does. She asked me to simply show her, which I did. She then took my wallet and went down the hall. This was bizarre. We got our working keys and went back up.
When we returned to the room, we discovered that the sheets, pillow, and comforters were very stained. It made for an uneasy nice of rest. The next morning, we left ASAP. You’ll be surprised to learn that the trash, curtain, and cicada, stayed longed than we did. They were all there after we left.
All of the photos were taken on our way out. This was, overall, an unpleasant stay....
Read moreLet’s start out by saying I didn’t even get a chance to get past the front desk… While calling different hotels for hours upon hours I finally found this hotel and it had availability on a busy Friday evening! I was so excited to be able to go lay down after a long day of driving (I took into consideration the other reviews and figured they had weeded out the not so good employees. Driving up to the hotel I was like wow! This is beautiful! After entering I was rudely greeted by the girl with purple hair, (Didn’t catch the name). We started the process to get the room fully booked and payed for when I told her we have two service animals. Immediately I was told “we don’t have any pet friendly rooms” Excuse me if I read the fair housing act wrong, but YOU CANT DENY the service animals. I asked to speak with a manager or someone above her, multiple times I asked might I add. She then finally answered and said there is no one else to talk to besides me. She walked away for a good 5 minutes and didn’t say a word. She comes back and said we’ll go ahead and let you have the room, BUT you need to have the vest on the dogs. I rolled my eyes but said whatever. As we went to go pay for the room I was told they did not accept CASH. Never have I ever heard of a place they doesn’t except cash. “I can go call her again and ask if we can Take cash” is what I was told. Excuse me but I thought you said there was no one else to get ahold of? This is the second time. Do you lied to your guests?? To wrap this up. The hotel itself looked very nice on the outside and upon entering the lobby. Would’ve loved to be able too see more of the hotel, preferably a room. I would never recommend this place to anyone, after this experience until certain employees...
Read moreI was on-site event coordinator for a 100-150 person conference that took place at this hotel. I would like to commend this locations Entire Staff. This was the best TEAM I've worked with since the inception of the conference. Without question.
I stayed as a guest at the hotel myself during the conference – Hey, the finishes aren’t 5-star – but you're not getting charged 5-star prices either. The rooms were clean & the staff amazing. Free breakfast was good – an improvement actually, over when it was a Holiday Inn! And OMG....They have a freaking nature wonderland out back!! Little turtles that swim across a lake to be fed & sun themselves on rocks...a bird seriously just hoped right next to me & made me feel like Snow White & ate a piece of banana being fed to the turtles right next to me!!! It was a WONDERFUL relaxing distraction from the conference that had me running for 5 days.
Every single person I spoke with or asked something of, from desk to kitchen & housekeeping to management, was kind & helpful. Kel, hotel manager, was absolutely amazing - I have no idea when she slept; if I could gift her vacation days I would. Her staff's responsiveness to us seems to be a direct reflection of her leadership & the environment she fosters. For the first time as coordinator, I was able to entirely trust that the rooms were being cleaned & restocked as needed without my oversight. The time this saved me in the mornings & during lunches, running between rooms, was absolutely precious.
No conference is without issues & there were a few. But everyone did everything in their immediate power to try & resolve each situation to the best of their ability as quickly as possible. That is absolutely stellar. THANK YOU...
