Mathis Motor Inn & RV Park — Hotel in Mathis

"DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER" My wife was skeptical about staying here but was swiftly opening up to the idea while checking in with the new GM Stephanie, (a U.S Army Veteran like myself )was very warm and welcoming . The room was clean, very comfortable, and Inviting. Stephanie was also extremely accommodating. She went above and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable , we got to hotel super early and we were allowed to check in early at 10am, she doesn't l know how much stress she relieved by doing that. I know from personal experience that no other accommodations in the area would do that ! I highly recommend this hotel for anyone coming to stay in Mathis, or just stopping through! The also have a RV park located...

New manager super nosy! Very rude! Will not even let u speak. Flashed a gun. She saw me drive in to pick up a friend for a ride to get smokes. She saw him get n the car. She followed us. We drove back in to drop him off we got off wasn't even inside 2 minutes before she showed up pounding on the door like the police. Yelling stay back flashed her weapon and said she was ex military police. That was unnecessary and uncalled for. My friends and myself will not be staying at this motel ever. Who would want to with management and so called security...

We cannot thank Stephanie, (Manager), enough for all the help securing our stay. Due to several mishaps, it took us 3 days to make a 17 hour drive from Colorado. All Stephanie asked was for us to stay in touch with updates and she held our reservation and made adjustments to accommodate our misfortunes. We LOVED the stay. it was very quiet and out of the way which protected our privacy. Guaranteed, the next time we vacation to Padre Island, we will without a doubt stay at Mathis RV Park every time.
