Red gate Inn McKinney Texas is A QUINTESSENTIAL downtown McKinney experience! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ You can experience everything downtown McKinney has to offer at this old bed and breakfast. Checking in is like being welcomed by family and being shown to your room, which feels like they made just for you. Please don't downplay the culture and style of the old inn. Our room was beautiful and had one of the largest showers I've ever seen. My wife immediately fell in love with the bathtub after our first day … the rest was history. Every morning breakfast is cooked in a family-style way. Paul and Sharon (the owners) were present to address any of our requirements, and we had the privilege of staying with some really down-to-earth folks. Outdoor areas include multiple seating areas, a meeting area, a bar, and a stunning swimming pool and hot tub. We'll definitely be back next time we visit The Old Downtown McKinney Square.

Great place to have a wedding. It was so perfect. Turned out to be a beautiful day for our outside backyard wedding and reception. We reserved the bed and breakfast for 4 days and it made our event stress free and so convenient. The beds were comfortable and even though it was an older house the upgrades they have done with the showers and kitchen it was just beautiful. I wouldn’t change a thing about our big day. Paul was also so accommodating and was there to help with anything we needed. I can’t wait to celebrate our anniversaries there.

We loved our stay at Red Gate Inn!! The house has been beautifully restored and is a piece of history. The owners are extremely friendly and know the area well. Our little guy already wants to go back to visit “Uncle Paul” as he told us to call him. We stayed in the Bluebonnet Room and it was great! Nice complimentary toiletries and soft towels! Loved the walk-in shower! And the breakfast the next morning was delicious. Can’t wait to go again!

Paul and Sharon are amazing hosts. The Red Gate Inn deserves higher than 5/5. Top notch amenities. They welcomed us as family/ friends and were a delight to visit with. They also give guests plenty of space and privacy to enjoy and explore the grounds with a beautiful courtyard and pool/hot tub area, multiple outdoor sitting areas, a lovely front porch, and the wonderful antiques and many sitting areas inside the Inn as well. The history and tour of the home and antiques was very interesting. There was something unique and interesting around every corner inside and outside the Inn. The Desert Rose room was perfect for our stay. It was very spacious and the large en-suite bathroom was AMAZING! The lavender bubble bath, soaking tub and huge shower was perfect after a long travel day. The bed and pillows were like sleeping on clouds. Paul and Sharon made us a wonderful breakfast including eggs with topping options, sausage, a fresh fruit bowl, AND pastry muffins. Along with the special touch of a formal place setting of glasses, plates, and utensils. They offer several coffee, tea, and refreshment options. Amazing and wonderful! The Red Gate Inn is truly a gem but Sharon and Paul put it over the top. They are the epitome of southern hospitality and go above and beyond to help all their guests feel at home and have a perfect experience! Thank you both for everything. If our travels bring us back to McKinney in the future we will...

Wonderful restored and decorated 103 year old home with modern amenities! Gary and Debbie Roper are great hosts who ensure that your visit will be something that you will remember. My wife could not get out of bed, so they brought breakfast to her. The breakfast was excellent! The house is only a half mile from the square and the homes along the street make for a pleasant walk. They also have accommodations for small weddings. We stayed in the Dessert Rose room, which was very quaint with a private bathroom, huge shower and claw-foot tub. Other rooms are upstairs and also include updated bathrooms. All rooms are air conditioned. Large wrap-around porch for relaxing. The grounds are wonderfully maintained with large trees providing shade. We will...
