Came for the first time on a rainy Sunday with my 8 year old daughter. The website said to call for groups of 3 or more so I didn’t call.
We walked in right behind a reservation for a Girl Scouts group of 6. The moms were saying that there was not room for them only the girls (6). The 2 girls working the front desk have zero idea how to run a facility on a busy day. This is clearly lack of management at the facility.
The 5 moms got a table but only 2 were painting. I asked since the other 3 moms were not painting and they added to their reservation last minute, if my daughter and I could sit and paint. We were told no. That’s fine we continued to wait. A table of women were so kind and offered for my daughter and I to sit with them. We were also told no because there was a wait list of 2 people ahead of us. I ask them to call the people on the wait list so they could take the 2 spots at the table and again the little girls at the front say no.
If you’re going to have children run your business, at least make sure they have some experience and customer service.
Worst experience. Waited over an hour. Go elsewhere. Painting with a twist was a much better...
Read moreI took my 10 year old niece here for a birthday gift. We both loved it. A nice selection of pottery to choose from, decently priced, and very helpful, friendly employees that don't hover. They even encouraged us to take the already painted pieces off the shelves to use as inspiration if we wanted or needed to.
I forgot how long it can take though - we got done in seemingly record time with a little over 2 hours, and I was semi-rushing. My niece had actually been there once before and said it took about a solid 5 hours that time. If you have other errands to run or work after, do not go!
However, if you're looking for a relaxing way to spend a few hours, and get a cool ceramic as a token of your treasured memory, I would highly recommend popping in for a bit.
The normal turnaround on the kiln according to the employee I spoke with is 7 days, though with so many customers during the holidays, they said ours would be about 10 days.
No complaints - as soon as we left I was already itching to go back...
Read moreI went to Walls of Clay to see if they could make a special plate for my sister, much like the one my mother had commissioned 60 years ago for my grandparents. They did, and the plate was beautiful… It had little hands prints of our toddlers placed on it, and the same poem written on the plate made for us when I was 5. The floral designs and the lettering were perfect. We were all very pleased with the outcome❣️ Walls of Clay is owned and staffed by professional, gifted artists. The shop itself is lovely, decorated with 🌷flowers and love❤️ -inspired pieces. You can commission and design a plate for them to make, or you can bring your family in to sit at the table and create your own masterpieces. The prices are affordable, but the outcomes are priceless❗️ The entire experience is joyful and uplifting! This place is a five star Michelin experience 💕 Janet...
