I made the reservation through Travelocity for one night, March 7, 2020 for a two bed room for my 14 year old granddaughter and myself. We arrived at 2:59 pm for check in. The room was not available because it had not yet been cleaned nor were any other rooms available. We were told it would be 10 minutes before the room was ready. After 10 minutes we went to the room and it still was not ready, the couple cleaning the room were making the beds and said they still needed to clean the bathroom. Since we had a wedding to get to, we left our luggage in the room and left.||||We returned late that evening. When I went in the bathroom, I found it in such a state of nasty filthiness that if it had not been so late, I would have demanded a refund and left. However, I did not want to search for another hotel in the middle of the night with my granddaughter in tow.||||There was mold all over the ceiling and tub. The shower curtain bar was in disrepair. The inside rim of the toilet was nasty and black. The back of the toilet was filthy.||||This filth is a build up of weeks, not from one previous guest before us. We did not hamper the cleaning people at all when we went to the room and they were still there when we left to go to the wedding. They had ample time and opportunity to do a thorough cleaning. Seeing the condition of the bathroom tells me that thorough cleaning is not their forte.||||In addition to the filthiness, the advertised amenity of free wi-fi was not available. It did not work at all. We called the front office and they said they would reboot the router. After 15 minutes it still was not available. We called the front desk again and we told that too many guests were using it so it wasn't available to everyone. What?!? I have never heard of any such thing.||||This morning when I went to the front desk to check out, I asked to speak to the manager. I expressed my complaint and showed her the pictures. The only thing she said was she would talk to the cleaning people, but she acted as if she could not care less about my complaint, although she did offer me coffee and wished me a safe trip.||||In addition, in response to my review on Travelocity, the manager implied the filth was my fault for interrupting the cleaning crew. When I called Travelocity regarding her response and they contacted her, she flat out lied to them saying I had told the cleaning crew not to worry about finishing cleaning. That is untrue. I did no such thing. First of all, I would never tell them they did not need to finish the cleaning - ewww! Second, the build up of filth on the ceiling, in the tub. and in the toilet shows that they do not clean properly and haven't for a long, long time.||||I understand that Motel 6 is a budget hotel, but I do not believe expecting our room and bathroom to be clean is unreasonable. I am beyond infuriated and disgusted with the hotel and with...
Read moreThis hotel looks like it has been remodeled, but something is very, very wrong there. I physically got the creeps when we went in the room and sat for some confused moments trying to figure out what was wrong. It was clean enough, though the carpet was slightly sticky and the bedspread looked like it came from a 1980's movie. ||Most obvious was the cramped room with furniture just dumped in there like the moving van had just left. No closet--a rack stupidly place over the TV gave you a choice, hang your stuff or use the TV. Not both. The refrig and Microwave piled up in front of the mirror...not enough room to walk to the side of the bed without pushing chair and table to the door.||And this was their "handicapped " room --the bath was enormous, but had mold in the shower/tub. When the big rigs in the parking lot left in the wee hours, our bed shook; when the working girls came home around 2:3O AM we discovered another reason we should have kept on going down the road. The walls are like paper. You can see daylight around three sides of the front door. I didn't sleep worth a damn, was just anxious to leave. Oh, the prominent sign in the lobby, "NO REFUNDS" should have been my first clue to turn around and leave. This place started our vacation off with a big buzz kill. Pissed off and head-achey all...
