El Mariachi Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Metter

My waitress name was Liz, she did not have a very good attitude about the job or interaction with customers. She let 2 out of three peoples drinks run out at the table, granted they were buisy, but manager actually had to fill our cups while waitress had went into kitchen and was just standing while I assume she was waiting on another meal to be ready. Ran out of chips and salsa waited on drinks again and chips and salsa for about another 10 minutes without having a meal in front of us. When meals arrived 1 out of the three meals were wrong and when customer addressed about meal being incorrect stating”I asked for no vegetables” waitress responded with “that’s just how it’s made” Then customer persisted with meal being wrong. She said okay rolled her eyes took play back and instead of bringing back the meal with the shredded chicken that was ordered she brought back regular cut up chicken which was a little hard on customers to chew do to his teeth. Also we had to ask for silverware, their was absolutely no silverware on the table. And when we receiver silverware all that was in there paper bags was a fork. Had to wait about 15 minutes for check could easily have just left do to the rare sight of our waitress. Also they do not offer senior citizens or military discounts. Driving on the interstate and stopped at the first place we came to that wasn't a fast food. Food was really good. Service was really fast. I would suggest that when they pour water that they do away from the table because the table kept getting wet.

The total came to $30

Interesting bit of information for you if you pay with cash you get a discount so they are charging you their merchant fee for using a credit card or a debit card which is $1.19

On top of that they're suggested tip amounts are 18% 20% and 25% I don't know what happened to 15%? But don't worry if you can't add or don't have a calculator in your pocket They tell you the percentage, the tip, and the total.

The food was pretty good. I did not eat all of his so I decided if he just didn't like it suddenly decided he didn't eat because he wanted to eat here

Also, the tacos that were presented to me as you can see in the picture were all flat instead of the way it appears on the menu which was a little weird to me

The three of us only had water normally I would have a beer or a margarita, but did not partake in that because I am driving.

I would recommend this place only because the rest of the town is just fast food

Food was both hot and delicious. The server was capable and super attentive. The booth we were seated at provided a comfortable seat and place to carry on private conversation. The view to bar stools of which if memory serves there are about 5 of, was near the front and there was a large screened in eating area to the rear of restaurant ( which is the actual front of building from the main roadway). The restaurant sits a good deal off the road though and noise isn't a concern at all. There is some side road traffic coming in the drive closest to the gas station to the right as that drive is shared by them both as well as a B-B- Q place just beyond either of them. So I highly recommend you come in the drive to the left of the Establishment ( the first you come to once off I-16. ). Most lunch items were served with rice OR beans be sure to note this and not expect both. Egg dishes were available anytime of day. And there were some speciality items you may not always see on Mexican menus at more generic Establishments including several soup selections and a beer soaked burrito of some type.
