We had a larger group, and It was hard to find anything like this as most places max out at 3 bedrooms. Lots of single bed configurations that could be pushed together to make a king if needed. Beautiful views from the balcony, plenty of seating at the pool (tho we went over the Christmas holiday which may have had less than summer) and the beach was easily accessible with chairs to rent as well as jet skis and paddle boards. We flew in and opted not to rent a car bc after valet fees ($40/night) and rental car costs, uber/lyft seemed a better way to get around. There was a free trolley but we could never figure out the stops. So much is walkable anyway, and it was nice to visit South Beach but be able to come back to something more family friendly and tranquil. The pool restaurant was pricey but available as an option. A lot of the dinner options for sit down meals seemed to be inside the high rise hotels. Our favorite was Lola Restaurant & Grill — every dish was amazing. We had an issue with slow drains in the shower, emailed the contacts listed and had maintenance up to fix It within the hour. We did stay over Christmas, and our hosts left a delicious welcome basket of snacks that was very much enjoyed upon arrival. We have never been to Miami and very much enjoyed our stay. The common space of the building itself could use some updates — and there were only 2 elevators which could slow things down at the busier times — but overall, It was a perfect choice for our group.

Had unit 617 in The Alexander through Hora rentals. The building has been fully renovated with a gorgeous Lobby and Pool area and very easy access to the Beach. The Boardwalk now extends from South Beach to Surfside, almost 90 blocks, and was a delight to ride our bikes (Citibike or Hotel rental) up and down. The unit itself was sparkling clean and modern in decor. Looks just like the pictures. We didn’t use the kitchen much but it was modern and fully functional. Loved the cold filtered fridge water! Bed in the Master was very comfortable and lots of towels and bathroom supplies were pre-stocked. Huge TV in the living room, and the porch was a real delight. Had views of the Ocean and Bay with a sunny southern exposure. And comfy chairs and a couch on the porch! Mike and Hora are very responsive, and he arranged early check in and late checkout for a nominal fee. All in all, this apartment was a great find, a perfect mid-beach location, and we will definitely be coming back.

Hands down the best place to stay while in Miami! Every room had a beautiful view of the beach. Walking distance to the beach! Can’t wait to go back & stay again. I appreciate you Hora for making our stay so memorable. Super clean & conveniently located in Miami. The rooms are setup perfectly for friends or families with kids.

I wish you good give negative stars. Mark Honigsfeld is one of the most disappointing people I have ever dealt with when booking accommodation and I would warn everyone to be very careful when dealing with him. We travel a lot and regularly use VRBO and other sites. Last year we decided to try Hora as their apartments looked really nice. Whilst that is true and ratings seem to be good when all goes well we had a terrible experience. After being promised a credit for a trip we could not take due to COVID we tried to use that credit. Everywhere else we had booked and then cancelled due to COVID gave us a complete refund but with Mark it was a credit. I guess we understood that so then thought lets get out of the PA winter and spend a few days in Miami to use the credit. Bad decision. Despite booking on the website as instructed, as well as emailing Mark, there was no response. Finally after contacting him again he told us there was nothing available. I know that is true now just 6 days from when we have our flights booked, however there were definitely rooms available when we first starting looking. Mark’s response indicates that he clearly cares more about money than he does people and his communications are not reflective on the actual situation. We now have been left stranded trying to find somewhere else to stay as we are meeting our son. It’s not as simple as changing dates which was his only suggestion. Clearly we can only use the credit when it suits Mark and he can’t rent the apartments to anyone else and hence he waits until the last minute to let you know. We feel very let down by him and have been taken advantage of in a difficult situation for everyone. Thankfully there are many good people in the world who do understand and I would definitely recommend we all reward them by booking their places rather than someone who has his own interest at heart and causes...

DO NOT EVER BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!. I booked this for our New Year’s week and when we got to our condo at 3:30 PM we noticed it was dirty, it had a bad odor & was extremely outdated. Worse of all the gym had been closed for three months and the owner Mark had failed to disclose that in the rental property. When I reached out to the owner Mark and told him about everything he said he will give me a refund. When I got back to the room, I told my husband and we started looking for another property nearby. Because it was New Year’s week. Everything was very busy and everything was sold out. I reached out to Mark at 5:30 PM to let him know that we are still trying and working on another place to stay. He told me that we had to leave by 6 PM. I told him please give me a little bit of time so I can continue my search. Long story short it was 6:45 when we finally found another place that we had to pay triple for because of the very busy holiday week. I messaged Mark immediately and let him know that we are leaving the condo. When I spoke to him the next day, he said that he was going to charge me for a full night and for cleaning fee because some of my kids sat on some of the beds. I told him it’s only fair to pay for the cleaning fee, but definitely not fair to pay for two hours of us sitting in the condo. He continued to refuse to give me my money and did not care about customer service and customer satisfaction. He ended up not reaching back out to me at all, and refunding me some of my money, and I am very upset and very disappointed in his actions. Many of my family and friends have used him in the past, but moving forward, we will never use him again. Do not be scammed by this man, make sure that you do not pay him via Zelle because he will definitely take advantage of...

I stayed in 1419 over New Years, paid for an extra night prior since I was going to be there before the 4pm check in. When I asked for a late check out 1pm Mark said 12 noon so I said 12:30. That when He got unprofessional and rude saying it’s NOT A NEGOTIATION, via texts. I thought that was handled wrongly by him. The views were incredible BOTH ocean and city, the place was clean, which were the two BEST parts of this unit, however, It was definitely dated, showers had hard water buildup, hard to operate, coffee maker looked like it was the old fashioned 10 year old with the hot plate burned to a sear. Bedding was what was used in the 80s and I put that away right away as it didn’t look clean. I did not mention any of this to Mark as I too am in the lodging business and know what guests would want and not want and also definitely would/have treated them differently then Mark behaved. The part also that was surprising that when the hot water went out, (no ones fault, things like that just happen), he didn’t even offer some type of relief except that he was sorry. I PAID a lot of money for this stay and also I had the same situation at my property in CA and immediately either moved guests or gave them 30% off the rate for that day. Being in the business I understand things can go wrong, but Mark’s attitude on the whole thing was unacceptable and down right unprofessional and he called me unprofessional (I have all texts relating to this matter. NOT COOL the way he behaved. Important for others to know that if they rent from him. Lastly its posted as if this unit is OCEANFRONT when it really is OCEAN VIEW he probably should correct that on the site, as there IS...
