Attention Ladies! If you pulled into this place, you made a wrong turn. Where do I begin? We came if for an event with 3 of my close girlfriends. I have always stayed at Ramada Hotels with my company for work as I travel for a living in my sales role. NOT ANYMORE! When we arrived, I unpacked my things and spilled some water on the floor. Cleaning it up with a rag, it came out black. Not just dirty, but filthy disgusting black. Then I looked at my socks and they were jet black. This was in the first 15 minutes of being there. Floors haven't been cleaned in months from the black on my socks. But I will take the dirty floor over our next situation. When we came back from our event, my girlfriends and I were laying down, laughing and we had the music on. NOT LOUD. Christopher Barry, the "manager" knocked on our door. My girlfriend asked who was there. We looked out the peep hole and he was wearing a blue puffer coat. He said he was the manager and to open the door. My friend asked to see his credentials/badge as he wasn't wearing one. Just a blue coat. He insisted that we open the door and he said, "I have Keys." That is not proper identification. Being with 3 other girls in the room, there was no way we were going to open the door. Mind you my friend was very polite to him. He walked away, we shut the music off and proceeded to go to bed. Christopher came back still wearing his blue puffer coat, and brought another guy with him still showing no signs of them being an employee. He stated that we needed to open the door to sign a complaint form. My friend said I'm not opening the door without ID and to please slide it under the door. Christopher and the other guy started to laugh. We called the police because my other friend started to cry because she was scared. Police came and wrote a report that we were in fear of our safety, agreed with us that he should have shown ID. They were very polite to walk us and escort us to another hotel in the area so we were safe. I am appalled at how a group of women were treated and to be kicked out of a hotel because of laughing and some music. Professional managers would have ID, ask for us to turn off the music, which again was not very loud but ok, I will give him that with the walls being so thin in this run down hotel. Did he really think that we would open the door for someone not showing a badge? Especially in this day and age. Christopher, you and your friend should be fired. This is not the first time he has treated someone. He was looking for situation where he could use his authority! We have a video of him laughing at us and the entire conversation of when he was at the door that we showed to the kind police. We are going to corporate and I fully intend on seeing this through until...
Read moreHorrible, Horrible, Horrible experience ❗️❗️❗️ I asked to look at my room before check in and I’m glad I did. My room was on the third floor. 1st red 🚩The hallway outside exiting the elevator reeked of smoke, the carpet was dirty and dated. 2nd 🚩 When I entered my room I immediately looked at the two queen size beds. Don’t ever let the surface fool you. Underneath the bed was horrifying. I pushed the mattress up for both it was chips and food all underneath both beds. 🤮 3rd 🚩 As I inspected the bathroom this confirmed my exit the shower curtain had mold on it at the bottom along with mold around the ridge of the bath tub. The toilet had dirty water in it and when I went to flush it, it started to overflow. I immediately left the room. The front desk female clerk had the audacity to ask me to pay for my room before trying to give me another room to sleep in. I declined and let her see the pictures I took and asked her if she came from out of state to something like what she thought I would sleep in, would she? Of course she pretended to be shocked 😳 and said no after I showed her the pictures. The clerk then said she was putting in a maintenance request but that the guy couldn’t be there until the next day. She then gave me an email on a piece of paper to send the pictures too. Ugh is what I felt like leaving this hotel. Don’t let the online reviews fool you, you have to see it for yourself to know the truth. You’ve been warned ❗️❗️❗️❗️|Rooms: 1/5 | Service: 1/5 | Location: 1/5||Noteworthy details|The front desk female night clerk is rude, lazy and needs to learn customer service skills before working with the public. The elevator is scary and tiny, the hallways stinks and the rooms I guarantee there will be something wrong with something in each one of them. Look underneath the bed before you lay in them. Both queen size beds had chips and dried food fires etc underneath. The shower certain had mold on it along with the ridge...
Read moreThe rooms were comfortable, clean, and suited all of our needs. However, the walls were quite thin, which meant if anyone was being loud in the hallway or room next door we could hear every bit of it.
The morning and daytime staff were excellent - friendly, professional, helpful. The nighttime staff were not. Our first night there, the desk agent appeared annoyed and bothered by my husband asking her to repeat the WiFi password because he wasn't quite ready to type it in the first time she shared it. The second night, the people in room next to ours were blasting music, yelling, and engaging in loud amorous activities. Not to mention the overwhelming weed smell. We waited a long time for them to quiet down but once it was coming up on midnight and we were unable to sleep, we called the front desk and said we couldn't sleep because of the noise. Some time later, the desk agent came up to our floor, brought the people into the hall and outside of our door (allowing us to hear the whole conversation), and gave them the room numbers of us and others who had called about them. That felt so sketchy and unprofessional to me. I used to work front desk at a hotel and I would have never in a million years shared the room numbers of people who called to complain with a problematic guest. The people did quiet down for a brief time after that, but once their music started back up we didn't call again knowing that the situation was unlikely to be professionally addressed.
The location was perfect for the purposes of our trip (wedding). The included shuttle brought us downtown and back. But I heard from multiple people that this is a sketchy part of town. In fact, our Uber driver said she normally wouldn't even pick someone up from that area, but because we were going to the airport she figured we were safe.
Other feedback - the breakfast was good and it was nice that they offered so many different things for purchase at...
