DO NOT STAY HERE! Upon arriving I was given a key to a room that wouldn't open. After going back to the office repeatedly I was finally given another room. Upon opening the door the smell hit me. I requested a smoking room, but that isn't the odor that I smelled. It was urine and mold. I owned a cleaning company for 18 yrs. but it didn't take a professional to instantly see it was filthy. The carpet hadn't been cleaned in years. The chairs had multiple stains, hence the urine. There were cob web and spider webs WITH spiders in every corner. The TV had snow on every channel. Only 2 out of 12 buttons on the microwave worked. It took 3 hrs. for the mini frig. to chill a soda. The coffee pot had what looked like dried boogers in the slots where you pour the water. After checking the mattress there were bug droppings around the headboard and on the top of the boxsprings and the alarm clock didn't work. In the shower I found hair and crusty fixtures. The bottom of the shower had so much old soap residue that it was like standing in slick slim. As I was getting dressed a man opened the door to my room with a working key. After I called the front desk they told me my key was no longer good and I needed yet another one. They said the man that had opened my door was a regular and that I was in HIS room and that I had scared HIM when I yelled!! The only redeeming factor to this nightmare was the girl at the front desk who apologized for not updating my room information. This is a disgusting filthy motel. Don't waste your money or your time. Go somewhere else. I've spent a lot less on much...
Read moreCheck in was a bit difficult since the front desk person had a hard time finding the booking and I had to call where I got it booked and they called him and sorted it out. Not sure if he knew what he was doing.
The location was good and the bed but the rooms are really bad and unkept. It is a Super8 and this one definitely was a typical location that help up to their reputation.
There was something unknown splattered on the ceiling as soon as you got into the room and the bathroom was horrible. It looked like someone crapped all over the wall and door.
The shower head was caked and the ceiling in the shower was spotted with yellow stains or whatever it was.
They do the bare minimum to get the room somewhat cleaned and no more.
The smell outside was similar to cat urine and they looked like they had someone’s personal belongings lining the 1st floor wall with dirty clothes and other stuff. Someone may have been living there and was kicked out????
Maintenance here was definitely done in house by someone that had held half the knowledge they needed to keep things running.
I guess since it was a super 8 there is no reason to have pride in your work or keeping the rooms clean.
Not expecting the Hilton but the looks of crap splatter all over the bathroom shows that cleanliness is not a priority.
It was late when we checked in and didn’t have another option so we dealt with it and took a...
Read moreThis is a quant little motel that is located fairly close to the different parks and caverns in Shenandoah and Luray Virginia. It doesnt have anything special but the room was decent. The only 2 issues we had were the location on the maps (all of them Google and vehicles map) have the Motel 6 on 250 Conicville Rd, Mt Jackson, VA 22842, but it is actually on 250 Conicville Blvd, Mt Jackson, VA 22842. You wouldn't think confusing road with boulevard would be a big deal but it takes you 15 minutes deep in the country mountain area to someone's house and there is NO SIGNAL there so I had to get out of the car and find bars to call them and figure out what happened and why we ended up at someone's house. SKETCHY SITUATION. So beware when traveling using a map. They are aware of the issue but said they have tried to correct it with no luck so far. The other big issue is the comfort of the beds, or lack of. Those beds were so bad I wanted to go home. I stayed up most of that first night waiting for Walmart to open so I could buy a memory foam topper which helped so much for the next...
