We explored this spot because we were looking for Indian food. From the main road, there's simply a Liberty sign, and silly me, I assumed a gas station mom and pop restaurant that's like the ones commonly found in ShenCo. So pulling in during rush truck hour was a bit unnerving. Almost none of the trucks would allow us, with two young children, to cross the parking lot. Once inside, the only menu items with visible prices were the American food items. So, we figured it would be comparable to the norms at restaurants and ordered two adult plates and naan to go. Imagine how far my jaw dropped when I heard the price of $50. I will say, it was delicious, but nothing extraordinary or what I could not make at home. I really wouldn't mind that price at an actual Indian sit down restaurant with drinks (we didn't order any drinks at all), ambiance, or the lovely silver platters. This was a truck stop, and we felt a bit bamboozled. We'll likely venture to the city and pay the same prices for the full experience rather than a fast paced, loud, gas...
Read moreThey had goat meat in the hot case, so I asked to try it, just a couple of little pieces. It was very good. Tastes like a cross between beef and pork. I got rice, the fish, and chick peas cooked in their style. Fresh, delicious food. If you've never tried Indian food before, go try it. The parking area is surprisingly large. Wasn't expecting the parking to be as ample as it was because you can't really see it from the road it's off of. Everyone that works in this truck stop were very welcoming and helpful. HOWEVER--- The shower was so dirty, I had to take a star off. If they get their shower act together, I will put the fifth...
Read moreOk but not great. The only food on site is fried chicken and cold sandwiches. There is a Burger King and a Denny’s next door but sometimes those really don’t scratch the itch. The entrance sometimes gets clogged and it gets to be a traffic jam of trucks trying to leave vs those trying to enter. The CAT scale is in a weird spot and makes it tough for a reweigh. The fuel island on the left (west) end of the building can be tough to hit due to trucks parked near the exit. The girls who work during the day are always great and helpful. Worth a stop but don’t expect...
