Iris Motel — Hotel in Mount Pleasant

we stayed at the Iris Motel in Mt. Pleasant, IA on Dec.31st 2014 When we first got into the room it was ice cold. The bed was unmade, the vent in the bathroom ceiling was coming out, there were hairs in the bathtub, the stopper for the bathtub did not work, the t.v.remote did not work. The heat eventually came on and the manager did replace the broken remote with a working one but our overall experience was horrible. When we went to check out around 9 am Jan. 1st, 2015 management was still not in the office so I had no one to complain to, Also the microwave was unclean. ZERO...

this was in October 2014 I checked in to a nice guy then the owner came back the price doubled the moment I complained my shower was clogged he started to blame me and my employees I just asked for liquid draino but no he poured acid or something in the drain next thing I knew the whole place stunk like sewage I even asked him when was the last time he cleaned out the drain pipes he said not in 15 years since he owned the place I wouldn't send my worst enemy...

Due to bad weather one of my coworkers and i weren't able to go home after work. She and I were apprehensive about staying there due to theor reputation in the past. Considering it was the closest place to work and a recent remodel, we gave it a try. We were pleasantly surprised. The rooms have been updated and remodeled.
