Jefferson Street Grill — Restaurant in Mount Pleasant

We stopped in the Jefferson St Grill on a whim and we were happily surprised! We were seated immediately…Tina the owner/server was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is cozy…lots of booths each having its own theme and signage… Fun! My partner got a Ruben, which was excellent! We both agreed that it was one of the best Rubens we had ever had. The salad was fresh spring mix not just iceberg with excellent ranch dressing! I got a classic cheeseburger with cheddar. (I love it when restaurants offer cheddar, not just American cheese.) the burger was a touch more done than I like, but I didn’t think about asking about a temperature. (not a huge burger connoisseur but it seems many restaurants serve medium well to well for safety reasons but next time I’ll ask.) Burger was still tasty. The price was very reasonable as well. Stopped here with the husband while traveling thru town. Probably won't stop again. The service was not top notch (slow), probably just a off night. Hard to judge off one visit however first impressions mean alot. The extremely small portions of cheese curds and mushrooms even after we explained we didn't want the sampler but two individual appetizers made us feel completely ripped off. They came with the entrees at the same time as well. I ordered the philly steak wrap which was cold the cheese wasn't even melted. My husband got maybe 5 waffle fries. Decided to try this restaurant for a new experience with my girlfriend. We both ordered steaks medium cooked (perfect) to our liking 👍 it was flavorful, tender, and comparable to Texas Road house in a way, but this restaurants own spin on things.we arrived around 430ish pm so no crowd, but did start to fill up around the time of getting our meals.
