Wine Valley Lodge — Hotel in Napa

Quite possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my 47 years on Earth. We had originally planned to stay through Wednesday but my client needed additional time for my work so we tried to extend to Friday. Initially the staff said this was fine...but we didn't get things handled timely on our end. I admit we should have called the front office before noon, but that did not warrant the subsequent poor treatment, like we were trying to scam them. When we called, the front desk guy screamed at my business partner. Then, the wizened old battle axe employee banged on our door at 1230 while I was making arrangements to pick up our business partner to get the bill paid. Ms. Battle Axe proceeded to yell at us in a very unprofessional manner. Needless to say, we promptly left the premises and took our business somewhere else.

The facilities were substandard, especially for the price. Think Motel 6 quality but Ramada prices. The bed skirt was filthy and I have a photo to prove it. The screens and wood blinds were broken. There is trash and debris piled around the pool deck, with knocked over umbrellas and pieces of sheet rock leaning up against the building. Located a walk away to a commercial complex, though in a residential side, the facility is excellent. We stayed for just one night for place to sleep in. The outside might look a little old with those adobe bricks, but the inside is a different story. The bed were comfortable, pillows were top notch hotel kinds and they have a flat screen TV. Room were typical size for a 2-star hotel with plenty of space for your luggage and other things to store. It has its own convenient mini fridge and a microwave by the hidden cover cabinet below the TV. The bathroom is clean with updated sink and stand up shower stall is very convenient. Water runs hot in about 5 seconds after turning it on the first time. I can see that this hotel pays very important to the convenience of their guest because they do make sure that the rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this place. The accommodations here are decent given the price and the location. However buyer beware! Twice now I've stayed at this hotel and not once have I received an emailed copy of the confirmation. This caused a huge problem for us this time - I was told over the phone that a reservation for friday and saturday night would be billed at 109$ per night. When I get there to check in, I'm told that I've only been booked for one night and that there were no rooms available for saturday night. The next day I go in to talk to different staff, who apologize for the mistake, but then proceed to tell me the room will be $199 for the night. I told them this was a mistake and that I wanted the original price I was quoted over the phone and the response was thats the price, you don't like it you can go somewhere else.
