After a janky short not even 30 minute stay at the Fiddler's Inn we came here. The service is friendly and very responsive. We got a great discount on a "suite" so to speak. The room has a king size bed and a separate room with two full size beds which has a door to it to keep the kiddos contained. Too bad we are retired military and no longer travel with kids but the extra space came in handy. We got to our room, right above the office. The desk clerk apparently was proud to announce that it was just right up stairs. We didn't think much about it and went up to our room. As soon as we walked in the smoke detector was beeping and hanging off the ceiling. We called down and the desk clerk said her maintenance guy wouldn't be here until morning but she would come replace the battery. About 10 minutes later she came up and replaced the battery for us. The thing didn't beep at all while she was in the room. I bet she just got back downstairs and put the step stool away before it started again. My husband pushed the reset button and we hoped for the best. He got in the shower and about 3 minutes in it started beeping again. He used the seat bench and climbed back up and pushed the reset button again. We shut off the lights and tried to go to sleep (it was 1am!). Just as we started to go to sleep it started beeping again! So he got up, climbed back up there and took the battery out completely. It continued to beep so he unwired it and set it on the counter.... It STILL beeped! He put it in the extra room under the mattress of one of the other beds. At 630 am it's still there. Are you wondering why I'm awake after only about 4 hours of sleep? It's because the room is right on the highway!!! The traffic is loud and it sounds like I'm sleeping in my car! The room is not sound proof or remotely sound proof. The rooms are nice (albeit somebody already stained up the new carpet and bed skirt). It's decorated like one would decorate their bed at home with extra pillows and decorator pillows. There's a tall mini fridge and microwave but....stay only if you can sleep through the noise. Like I said, though, the staff is very friendly and prompt. They are an East Indian family that own and run the place so they are extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast we were told is grab n go type breakfast in the tiny check in lobby (I just read it's vending machine pastries so if that's what it is I won't be eating that garbage). That is exactly what it is. Danishes wrapped in plastic wrap that you'd get out of the work vending machine small bottles of Sunny D and coffee...at least...

I booked this hotel for a business trip from out of town, and it was by far one of the worst stays Iâve ever had.
Upon arrival, I was exhausted and just wanted to rest. I had specifically requested a non-smoking room, but the first room I was given reeked of smokeâlike an ashtray that had never been emptied. The front desk agent, Nick, was kind enough to move me to another room, but things only went downhill from there.
In the second room: ⢠No bedside lamps ⢠Filthy sheets with visible footprints ⢠A period pad sticker stuck to the bathroom door (absolutely disgusting) ⢠A burn mark (either from a cigarette or incense) on the toilet seat
At this point, I was beyond tired, but the condition of the bed was unacceptable. I recorded a video of the sheets and went back downstairs. Nick, again, was helpful and gave me a new set of sheets since there was no housekeeping available. But when I got back to the room to change them myself, the âcleanâ sheets were somehow worse than the ones already on the bed.
And it doesnât end there.
The entire property felt unsafe. ⢠Drug addicts and prostitutes were constantly coming in and out of the parking lot. ⢠Someone knocked on my door in the middle of the night. I was so scared I had to push a table against the door for extra security. ⢠The area was filled with vagrants wandering around, making it clear this was not a safe environment for travelers.
Then, there were the towelsâor lack thereof. I went downstairs to ask for more towels, and the woman at the front desk literally stuck her head out of a door while brushing her teeth before rudely asking me, âArenât you leaving today?â Excuse me? I still need towels. Iâm a woman, I wash my hair, and basic hygiene requires more than one towel. Her attitude was unprofessional and disrespectful.
To top it all off, there was a man in a shirt and tie casually sitting behind the deskâprobably the managerâwho seemed completely unbothered by the state of this place.
This hotel should be shut down. If youâre running a business that caters to travelers, invest in clean sheets, fresh towels, and basic security. The conditions here are disgusting, unsafe, and unacceptable for anyone, let alone business professionals.
I will be reporting this to Priceline, Expedia, and every travel booking platform to warn others. Do not stay here. This place isnât worth a single...
Read moreI checked in really late. It was about 3:30-4 am. I just got in from atlanta and I couldnât get a room at any other hotel. I was pretty worried when I arrived due to the less than favorable characters walking around in the neighbor parking lot. But regardless I was tired and I was thankful. The guy that checked me in was super nice and very accommodating. I was in a less than ideal situation and he went the extra mile to help me get a room. He said the check out was at 11 but since I was arriving so late he said I could stay till 12. I was so surprised. I was even more surprised when I walked into the room. It was actually a really decent room. You can tell the typical clients are a little rough on the room but still for the price it was great. Every thing about the visit was good, clean room good hot water pressure. Everything was fine till it was time for check out. 11 oâclock comes around with a knock on my door. I explained to the lady that I had till 12 and you could tell she wasnât pleased my her body language and the way she dismissed me. I get settle back to my work when surprisingly there was another knock on the door. It was supposedly the front desk lady. Even though she missed the classes on customer service to be sure. She proceeds to tell me that check out is now and I must leave. So once again I explain that the guy at check-in offered to let me have till 12 since I arrived so late. Again body language tells all and she just rudely stands there and stares. So I explained that it was no problem for me to leave as my bags were by the door ready to go she then tells me that she guesses it was fine and she guessed I could stay. I then told her that I would pass and really did not appreciate the rude attitudes. Absolutely no customer appreciation or service. I proceeded to grab my bags and leave. I hope I donât find myself in the same situation again because I wouldnât want...
