Our stay was from May 9-11. We arrived about an hour and a half early, but check-in was a breeze. The Hispanic woman at the front desk was very courteous and professional. The breakfast was sub-par and lacked variety. My mother doesn’t eat pork and they had no alternative to offer but waffles and cereal. The hash browns were under cooked; turns out they were microwaved. After informing them that uncooked food is danger, the man brought some out to us that must have been fully microwaved. But, hey, I didn’t come all the way to Nashville for the Best Western breakfast.
We checked out just as easy as we checked it. Handed the hotel key card to the same woman. Here’s why I give this place a 1 star rating. After leaves the conference we came to Nashville for, I noticed my one of my AirPods was not in my case. I got on my “Find My” app and located it at the hotel. Apparently it dropped out while we were there. So I call the hotel and a man answers the phone, Rocky Chah (or Shah). I proceed to ask him if house keeping has turned in an AirPod. He says “They have gone home for the day and would not be able to know until tomorrow.” I say “ok, well I won’t be able to wait, I don’t live here, I’m headed back home now. Are you able to call the room and ask the new guest if they see it. i can be there in 15min.” He immediately snaps and says “You cannot come here and disturb my guest, I will call the cops on you!” I am flabbergasted, “Sir, are you serious? Was just there this morning. I just need you to check with the guest about my AirPod.” “I told you the housekeepers are home for the day, coming here would be a waste of your time!” “Sir, I don’t live here. It won’t be a waste of my time. I’m only 15 min away.” “That’s your fault, you should have been more respectful. I will not invade my guest privacy, I will call the cops on you! (CLICK!)”
I proceed to head back to the hotel because my property is shown to be there. I arrive and he greets me because he doesn’t know I’m the one he just fussed at. I ask the same question “can you please call the guests and see if they seen an AirPod?” “No, no, no. You need to leave I already told you they are not here, I called the room they don’t see it!” “Well, I don’t believe you bayou just hung up the phone on me.” “Ma’am you are being very rude!” “Sir, you’re the only one raising your voice.” “That’s your fault, you should have been more responsible!” (My mother enters the conversation) “Sir, my daughter is trying to talk to you so she can get her property.” “You should have raised her better, it’s her fault! You’re a cheap woman!” “That’s how you talk to your customers?” “You need to leave or I will call the cops.” “You want to call the cops, call the cops! I’m a tax paying citizen, I’m not a criminal! You don’t scare us, so call the cops!” (Then he flips the script) “You call the cops.” “Nah, you said you gone call the cops, call the cops!” “You call the cops!” “Ok, we will! You’re not going to scare us!”
We called the cops and corporate and asked for the man to be fired as a misrepresentation of the company. One of the police officers was kind enough to walk to the room and ask the guests if they say my AirPod. Apparently he did actually call and ask them about it. They did not find it and assured they would bring it to front desk if they did later on. I didn’t believe him because of how spoke to us.
At some point I was in tears because I was so frustrated that I just spent my money here and was treated like trash by a staff member. I won’t go into detail about the other male staff member that pretended he didn’t know him when I asked if her worked there. He said “no, I don’t know him.@ I said “sir, you have on the wax act same shirt with the company name. That’s not right to know he’s like this and not speak up.” All he could say was “he’s the boss.”
An AirPod can be replaced. But Rocky Chah (Shah) doesn’t need to be in any industry requiring hospitality because he has NONE!
*oh and he repeatedly called my mother “a cheap woman” In front of other...
Read moreIf I could give this hotel a negative point I would. I was passing through on Military orders with my family and with an already sensitive situation this the stay and this hotel made it even worse. The service was absolutely atrocious. I had to find our housekeeper or a housekeeper after1pm the next day (who I never found) to replace our supplies in our room (toilet paper, towels, trash etc.). I found housekeepers on another floor who WOULD NOT trade me towels from my room (dirty towels) for clean towels (I didn't understand this either). The very people who run the hotel clearly live in this hotel. Their kids were running through the third floor at 9am. I finally called the front desk but even after the call, the parents of the children started arguing very loudly. The smell of curry and must on that 3rd floor was so thick and there was no way to mask this smell. All of the cart racks were either broken or very close to broken (so not usable). The front desk worker (who lives there) are working 24/7 so their attitudes are HORRIBLE. Everything I asked for was an intense interrogation on why I needed it, and what room number I was in. They turned the air off in the hallways so as soon as you step out of your room it's like walking into a sauna. I killed at least 4 unknown bugs in my room We traveled from 700miles away and booked this for 3 days. There was no way to cancel because we were past our window or else we would have canceled. Best Western this hotel is a direct reflection of their leadership. I highly implore you to sever ties with this franchise right here. The level staff disrespect, and attitude, and lack of service was enough to have me type this essay. Please understand that the gentlemen working the counter should never be in customer service. From reading these other reviews it seems like he should have NOT been the one helping me (making my stay worse) if there were reviews from 4 MONTHS ago about the same gentleman. I am not a person to dwell and complain because I've been in less than desirable conditions. HOWEVER not only are these incidents avoidable, but I also even tried to work with the staff by alleviating the travel from them to me and even bring my linen to them to receive clean linen or try and speak politely even after the hostile interactions. I am definitely letting my Command, and all Military personal to about this stay in detail. People traveling (especially long distances, and with family) should not have to go through a quarter of the problems we encountered. You can contact me directly if needed. I would like to further discuss with a representative. There is absolutely no way Best Western would let this hotel be a part of its chain of hotels with this many...
Read moreUpon arrival to book a room my husband, small dog and I were greeted so nicely by the man behind the desk who said business was slow and that he had a great deal for us if we paid cash only. My husband had work in the area so we needed to stay about four days and it was a decent offer so we paid cash and twice we specifically made sure he knew we had our little dog. They knew that we had a dog from our recent previous stay there without incident. We needed to stay for two more nights so my husband paid and he went to work. About 1 pm I got a call from the front desk asking if I was coming down to pay for the night. I told him it was paid. He said no only one night was paid for and the rest of the money he applied to the dog fee for five nights and I needed to come down and pay asap. I was in the middle of tending to my own significant medical issues and I said I would be down as soon as I could. He called two more times. I was confused as my husband wouldn't leave me in an unpaid hotel situation while he went to work. It was embarrassing to have to disclose to this older man at the desk that I could not be any faster as I have a urostomy bag that leaked and needed to be changed before I could leave the room because I don't have a bladder. I told him that he should not have put our money to pay for our dog because the fee was included in the cash deal. He laughed! Well when my husband came back we both went down to the desk and this man told us there are no cash deals they aren't that kind of hotel and would never do that! But they did. He would not reimburse us and several times I politely had to ask him to speak respectfully to us or to let us speak and not to raise his voice! He was basically calling us liars and then he said the last time we were there our dog stained the carpet which was a complete lie because she does not ever do that! I told him that was an unfair low blow and that I have no problem paying a pet fee but it was supposed to be included in the cash only deal. They really need some customer service training and to be mindful that some people have hidden disabilities. I told him we were not looking for any freebies but fair is fair. He didn't care one bit. That said we did stay a bit longer only because we both caught some kind of 24 hour flu. Its a shame because its not a bad hotel. The rooms are clean and breakfast is decent and the pool is kept up. We didn't find the area to be as bad as some said and didn't see one bug...
