IF YOU'RE A FEMALE TRAVELING ALONE DON'T STAY HERE!!! (or even in a group)
I've never left a review before but this place is dangerous, long story so buckle up.
My female friend and I are driving across the country and have stayed in many creepy motels with bullet holes in the windows and men outside harassing us but I feel compelled to warn women against this place specially.
We get there and notice men in cars driving into the parking lot past us staring at us and then leaving the motel which we thought was strange. We then go up to drop off stuff off before getting food for the night and we hear someone try to open the door so I go to lock the top dead bolt and remember feeling safer because it felt like a secure bolt. When we get back THERE WAS NO DEAD BOLT IN THE DOOR someone had removed the part that slides into the wall and I swear it was there before! THEN we are laying in bed and get a call so I answer it and this man is on the phone insisting that his friend is coming over EVEN WHEN I SAID I DIDNT CALL YOU YOU HAVE THE WRONG NUMBER very weird that he knew I didn't know him but still insisted his friend was coming? After I hang up we get another call which I don't answer and then ANOTHER call in which I answer and aggressively say you have the wrong number to a DIFFERENT man who is just repeating "Hello" over and over again.
After that we call the front desk and tell him about the calls and it seemed like he didn't understand what I was saying? Maybe not his fault but he was not interested in helping us at all. I just decided to unplug the phone myself after that.
Then our male friend calls and asks the front desk to fix the deadbolt because it could have been an unsafe situation. The man comes to our room a good 20 minutes later, looks at the deadbolt, and basically says sorry there's nothing he can do, again not really necessarily his fault but still left us in an unsafe situation!
We ended up shoving all the furniture against the door and being too scared to sleep all night!
I understand this is the cheapest option in Nashville but please be careful and I would suggest paying a little extra in...
Read moreMy feince travels with his jub wich rewires us to stay in weekly rentals and sometimes do to convince motels. This motel was by far..out of many we have stayed at..the worst! Roaches worse than I have ever seen, Rats and or mice eating my thinks, people prostituting walking around naked in the parking lot to be able to get money from the truckers next door, and the worst thing of all out of all of that is a few times now I have witnessed someone high on God knows what in the parking lot or on the sidewalk very close very uncomfortable to my room digging in the gravel talking to themselves without any word or attention from the front desk! I finally had to let them know what was going on before they even did anything about it. I have traveled quite a bit and I've stayed in so many places but I have never experienced this and it quite literally scared the crap out of me. So for even $80 a night I promise you it is not worth it do not come to...
Read moreCumberland inn- Nashville||The place was an absolute dump. It's being used as an apartment house. The door jamb on my room (103) had been obviously kicked in, and the door would not lock. Everything was dirty. Everything was worn out. The bathroom was not just dirty, the room was falling apart. I would not recommend staying there, unless you have no other choice and then you should be armed. I walked to the office after checking in and seeing the room. I told the clerk I decided not to stay, and the clerk said that was fine. He refunded my cash, I politely thanked him and walked back to my vehicle and left. I thought it was over. The hotel then contacted booking.com and said I was a no-show. They wanted to charge me a no-show fee! After talking with the agent at booking.com, and explaining the situation, they took care of me. Stay away from this...
