Where do I start, Well I will give a brief synopsis, and give negatives and positives of our stay. At check in we checked in and was giving our room and so we gathered our items and proceeded to our room. Well the room was hot and the a/c was on its way out, as it did not cool past 85 degrees, so I thought it may need to catch up, so we waited over an hour, and I tried to go take a shower, well the knob would not turn on, and I tried to best of my ability, with no luck, so no a/c and no cold a/c so far. Next I used the bathroom and it wouldn't flush. So we tried to call the front desk and the phone did not work, so we went to the front desk to let the overnight auditor know, and she said you have to pull hard on the knob and they don't know where the plunger is and give the a/c some time, we said we did and we need another room, first she said she needs our old room keys first, and then go wait in the breeze way and she will get us a new key. Well we got a new room and the only thing wrong with the room was the plug sockets for the air conditioner was out in the middle of the floor, a hazard. The next morning we went down to eat and try this southern breakfast and see what it's all about. When making our plates a worker named Seth asked my son if he thinks he has enough on his plate, mind you this is an employee asking my son that is 100 lbs bigger than him and we at a buffet, all you eat, he is an employee. Well we discussed it and went back for this southern supper, well guess who was back working it Seth, and he gave us nasty and unwelcome looks and stares. Well that evening I went to the front desk and told the lady working at the time and she said she will have the manager come talk to us, well that never happened. So the next day as we were sleeping on the second floor, someone below our room was hitting our floor with a broom stick every 20 seconds or so constantly. I went down to see this room and gave a talk, well this room is an employee only room/meetings. So this was done maliciously, I asked housekeeping and the clothes area, they said no, no one but Seth would be there, we went down to eat and yes got the bad looks again. Well I went to the front desk and asked for a manager to call me and I wanted a card to call him, if I did not receive a call. Well the manager Mr Vincent called me and I discussed the issue at hand and Mr Vincent said he will look into it and I told him to pull the lock codes and he will see who was in there doing this. That night Seth was getting off, as I was going to the pool and said, ha I'm still here and he had a dress shirt, I guess trying to make me think he was a big timer. We were there another night and we went for breakfast and Seth was there and could have made things right, but did not apologize to us, nor the manager did Not call us to say the problem was corrected. The worse night and early morning with all the knocks on the floor.
Positive thoughts Cold a/c, bed soft
Negatives Rude people Deferred maintenance Food had no flavor and gave los of gas, most items are frozen and canned. If frozen pre cooked meat balls on a hot dog bun canned beans and green beans out the can, a southern dinner, well I think cafeteria food for kids tastes better and I'm from the deep south, you know turkey necks with brown gravy and mustard greens and cornbread. Also a lot of shady things happen around the hotel, I watched a cop bust 3 people and had people...
Read moreIf I thought, I could give this hotel experience a negative rating I would. First, I am traveling to Natchez with my friend to attend Merry Market with our two daughters. So, for review purposes we are two women and two teen daughters traveling. When we arrived, the picture was not accurate, the white building displayed on the website is only the lobby, the actual rooms and doors are rusted over, the room numbers are tapped on. The room had holes in the walls, the beds and towels had shot hair stuck in them. While we were working at the Convention Center for Merry Market, we received a phone call that we needed to relocated rooms at the hotel because while showering last night the pipes must have leaked and flooded the room beneath us. Even despite ALL of this we would have relocated to another room. However, upon arrival back at the hotel, there are several semi trucks/ dump trucks and 15+ men standing around the hotel rooms. I went to the lobby and spoke to the two ladies at the desk and expressed my safety concerns and how I felt unsafe staying the night. I requested a refund for the second night, unfortunately our concerns were met with no understanding, sympathy or even compassion. One of the ladies was on the phone with the manager, Ms. Pat. I was able to speak with Ms. Pat and I explained to her I felt being in a group of 4 ladies and surrounded with men (around our hotel door) and she did not offer any resolution but rather told me there should not be men standing around and there is a no refund policy. I explained to her that we did not feel safe, and we are not staying the night, I asked her again if there was any way she would consider refunding us and she gave me a very stern NO. We returned to our room, gather our items and turned in our keys. I am so saddened that in the world we live in there were absolutely no words of understanding in our situation. So, to ALL ladies and families this hotel is NOT family friendly. If you are looking for a decent hotel, this is NOT it. It is with much regret that I even have to write a review to this magnitude, but I pray no one else finds themselves in the same situation as us. As of tonight, we have not had any follow up phones calls with an apology. I did take photos of our concerns. Sincerely, Two moms and...
Read moreWhere to start. The property is old and not well maintained. Some of the staff is friendly but the general manager Steve Roseberg is spineless and is either oblivious to what goes on at the hotel or condones it. The facility does have a pool but it is rarely available to guests. On most afternoons and evenings the hotel pool is being used by the neighborhood kids, normally 5-20 at a time. They leave the pool area littered and trashed. One of the afternoon/evening maids likes to host pool parties on weekends. In the pool party aftermath you cant take 2 steps without running the risk of stepping on beer cans, pizza boxes, chicken bones, empty chip bags, etc. The room services are terrible. They maids will come is and take dirty towels and not leave clean ones, rarely will they refill the toilet paper rolls. I once left the empty toilet paper roll on the toilet seat every day while I was at work, it took nine days and a note before a new roll was placed on the back of the toilet (not on the roll, the back of the toilet). The room was never dusted. I wrote DUSTY on the refrigerator and microwave, I will be willing to bet if you visit room 211 it will still be there. If you are looking for female companionship in Natchez you are in luck, just listen for the horn on weekend evenings on the back side of the hotel. A gentleman shuttles 4-6 women to the hotel for "companionship". WATCH OUT FOR OVERCHARGES! I was sharing a room with my friend. We took turns paying, one week he paid and my card (the one on file) was also charged. Management refused to do anything other than try to baffle us with bulls**t. I was told the company I work for was overcharged over $3000, being charged for rooms after people checked out. (Maybe that's how they cover up the companionship rooms) On to breakfast. What a joke. Everything is prepared in the microwave. If you are lucky they will have bacon twice a week, same for orange juice. The handles are broken on most of the crockpots they serve breakfast in. If you are planning on a decent breakfast you will be sorely disappointed unless all you want is sausage gravy, toast or cereal. Don't get your hopes up on fresh fruit, better off going to one of the local produce stands for that. Overall, if you want a pleasant stay...STAY...
