When I arrived to check-in, there were several other guest in the lobby talking and laughing extremely loud. I asked the front desk worker to put us in a room close to the end of the building and I was placed in a room next to the lobby instead. Once I entered the room, I saw 3 little spiders on the wall next to the bed. Every corner of that room were spider webs and spiders. I asked the front desk clergy to change rooms and to place us near the end of the building. The 2nd room had spider webs inside the window seal , mold in the fridge, and we ended of killing 4 spiders by the next morning. The room rate was over $100 for 1 night and there was no internet access. There was a lot of workers staying there but no travelers like us staying there. There was hot breakfast served but due to it being barely 5 regular guest and the rest being workers, the food was not eaten. There is also a drink machine that charged $1 for drinks that were hot and the ice machine looked as if it has NEVER been cleaned. The location is by several restaurant's and places to shop so that was the only GOOD thing out of this stay. Another weird thing was that everyone else seemed to have a upstairs room and we didn't. I hope this review save some their time...
Read moreThis place is a disaster! |Decent looking hotel and room but don’t be fooled. |Loads of things you’d expect in a hotel room just weren’t there. |It’s a long list in what seemed to be a newly refurbished room. |The ace in the pack was a complete absence of a wardrobe or closet, no hangers, nowhere to hang any clothes. We called guy on reception, he firstly said that the coat rack (see photos) was the wardrobe but then admitted maybe not.|Said he’d tell his manager… |Virtually no sockets, even above the desk. |Had to unplug microwave to plug in laptop. |Had to unplug bedside light to plug in phone charger.|Who redesigned this room? Bet they never stayed in it! |Awful breakfast, had run out of everything by 8.30. |Lady scowled when asked if she could possibly bring some more bread for toast. |She virtually threw it down. Lovely. |No Wi-Fi in breakfast area. |Lukewarm shower and bath didn’t drain so by end we were stood in a few inches of water. |Told guy again and he said he’d tell his manager … |15 out of 17 hotels in town as we write; daren’t look at the two that are...
Read moreWe stayed one night as we were just passing through. It was nice enough. The online price from booking engines was higher than what the front desk clerk charged us so call the hotel before you book online through sites like Expedia.||The front desk clerk was nice enough but I think it's not good when employees tell customers how much they are looking forward to getting off work. I understand it, we all feel like that, but it's unprofessional.||The AC is left off so the rooms were REALLY hot and stuffy when we got there. Took a little bit to cool down but was comfortable once it ran for a while. ||The room was, eh, semi clean. The beds were clean, the floors looked clean, the bathrooms could use some extra attention: brown marks on the wall near the toilet I HOPE were just scuffs and short and curlies left in the soapdish. Just a little extra attention from housekeeping and it would be better.||Close to some restaurants so easy...
