Harmony Inn & Suites — Hotel in New Ulm

Pros and cons with this place just like others mentioned. Had an extended stay here during travel for work. WiFi is decent, you can expect about 500kb/s download except if the hotel has a good amount of devices connected to it. You can always restart the access point that's hanging on the ceiling if your tall if you encounter issues with the internet.

The free breakfast is mostly junk as others stated. All sugary cereals with bowls too small to even bother getting cereal. Waffel maker is decent but batter is bad, just buy your own at Hy-Vee across the street. They typically only have bananas and a well muffins and bagels as well.

There is a couple sets of housekeeping crews it seems. I don't think i experienced the set that went through people's stuff. But I did have a crew that was overly aggressive and broke my computer. Luckily I was able to repair it myself, but it was something that should have happened in the first place.

Also, shelf in bathroom fell off wall when putting towels on it.

Want to give a shout out to Christian the front desk person who had to work over and above what should be expected of an employee. He worked, check in, housekeeping every service to the hotel with no one else to support him and he maintained his calm and did the best he could with a very bad situation. Check in was 4:00 pm, we did not get a clean room until 10 and several of the 16 in our party were in the same boat. I'm wondering where we're the owners, upper mangement etc, to help Chritian out? We know several staff quit all at the same time but seems like someone should of been able to step in. Rooms were okay, ours was clean, others' we know we're not. One in our party made their bed up themselves, with clean sheets! This was probably one of the busiest weekends for New Ulm and Harmony Inn had huge issues, not one of them was Christian. He deserves a major raise, bonus and promotion. The only reason I would go back and give it another true is because...

Overall, this motel will offer you a place to sleep at a decent price. When I arrived, there was a phone that said to dial 0 to get the receptionist. The lady came out of the office as soon as I called. Check in with was smooth. When I got to the room it was very clean and looked very nice, although it was a little small.

Pros: Comfortable bed. Coffee maker in room. Microwave and mini fridge available in room. TV worked. The lamps all had outlets so you could plug in your phone. Towels and toiletries in bathroom. And I think the most important thing was that the rooms were clean, as well as the bathrooms.

Cons: I wasn’t a fan of hearing voices through the walls. The fridge is constantly running, and made a ticking sound. And when I turned on the AC unit, it immediately started pushing out air that smelled like cigarette smoke. WiFi kind of worked, but I wouldn’t rely on it.
