After reading some of these, I see I am not alone. If the prices were high 6 years ago like some one said then why on earth do they raise them every other day. Doller tree items in there with the dollar tree name n pkg ok it's $1 at dollar tree why on earth would u charge $3 for it, especially when in reality it cost them nothing to get. Why buy used when you can get new for the same price if not cheaper This used to be a nice store , good quality good selection good help good place to get good deals. The last few months or since COVID really they have increased n increased n increased the prices. They want new price for a used (and may I say DONATED ) item. $5 for a Tshirt with holes isn't my idea of a good deal. And where is the manager or owner or any one that can respond to these reviews. They have responded to 3 that I read n they were to people who gave them a good word. Usually is should be the person who was not satisfied that needed to be reassured that it would get better n please come back. It must be bad when the management isn't any good at her job and don't have the guts to respond. 10 out of 14 reviews say prices way to high, not good numbers, one would think they would want to change that. I guess they would rather go under that to help ppl save money like a " Thrift" or "2nd hand store should, they should maybe look up the definition of those words before they open...
Read moreThis was a great little store but our experience was soured by the management. We bought a coffee pot which had a sticker on it that said WORKS. I asked about returns and was told by two employees if we leave the stickers on and have receipt we can return it. The water in the pot poured out to the point that it soaked nearby food on the counter and ruined the bread. Upon return to the store, the manager insisted her employees know the policy, and she said the pot worked when they received it in the store. Two of us checking out heard when they confirmed we could return it. We even took a picture of the item with stickers on it in case they came off when rinsing the pot. My point is management could have chosen more wisely and believed the customer in this instance instead of backing employees that told us wrongly and she would have made more sales that would have outweighed the $10 coffee pot. We had four people ready to shop more but were turned off by her willingness to believe that her employees know the policy. I took the pot home and cleaned it thoroughly with vinegar and it still runs all over...
Read moreThis was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a thrift store! I went here with my best friend and we will not be returning to New Ulm anytime within the decade because of the experience. The staff were so rude and the prices were on the tags but they like switched it when I was paying. The 1 thing I did buy had a price tag with a 3$ on it but when I went to pay they said it was actually a B and because it’s a medium it’s actually 5$, which made no sense but I just needed to get out of there so I paid whatever they wanted and left. There were also holes in the dressing room wall that led into the employee area, and the staff were very controlling about everything for “theft reasons”. Plus every single person there was very odd and gave off children of the corn vibes. The Mexican restaurant Órale next door though was very good though and I would...
