Latisha house — Hotel in New York

A couple of these reviews are confusing? Because regardless of it being an entrepreneurial business, you are in fact knowledgeable that you are going into a private residence? You accept that these people are being hospitable enough to welcome us into their own personal property, private residence and entrusting guests into their care and company? Therefore WHY would anyone Complain about the concierge service or professionalism , or lack there of? It’s not what you signed up for? These people aren’t claiming to be anything but willing hosts. I’m sorry if there personality rubs you the wrong way? But let’s be honest here you have to expect cultural differences when you’re traveling? You can’t complain that they’re too authentic, too urban or street , lol, when you’re asking to stay in They’re Hood? Next they can’t pick up their house and run away cuz they’re scammers! Too many people have been in there house and had positive experiences for it to be a fraudulent ad all together? I’m truly sorry that your experience was so upsetting and frustrating no doubt? But I’m sure you must have been mistaken about the address or something else happened? No doubt you were not at the right house? And LASTLY are you serious here! Your street talk is complaining about someone else being too street for your liking? WOW? Hypocritical. Also the thing you would have liked most about them if your stay had gone different? Latisha house…Hegeman location. This is an older home that has been renovated in a transitioning neighborhood (many older homes have been or in the process of upgrading) 4 bedrooms, 2 baths w/internet. Cooking, with some supplied utensils, meant we could avoid eating out every night.

We needed a place to stay with a a group of 7 while visiting NewYork City. While it is a bit further out (1 hour by mass transit, 10 minute walk from the station), it suited our purposes perfectly. Each room has a locking door and its own TV and the entire house has high speed internet. Though not a luxury property, it is well maintained. Single lady looking to book a place to sleep for 1 night as I travel into the city for a show. Originally I couldn't figure out how to book a bed at Latisha House by the site, so I contacted her to inquire and her only response to me was "Then book." Found that pretty rude and abrasive. Afterwards I figured out (fyi) that to book you need to click on the photo that says "whole house" and once that flips, the legit booking icon will be there to click. After hitting the checkout page it said the total was $220 !! For a bed listed at $80 a night on the photo. I asked what was up with that only to receive no response.
