Stay Express Inn North Charleston — Hotel in North Charleston

The floor was absolutely disgusting. I had to wear shoes the entire time, otherwise the bottoms of my feet became pitch black from how filthy the floor is. I had to throw away a pair of socks because they got so dirtied by this nasty floor. It seems like this place hasn't been mopped (or even swept properly) in years! The lamp by the bed didn't work, the shower and faucet setup didn't shift properly (when I tried to take a shower, water came out of the faucet still too, but at high pressure that hurt to let touch my skin) and the hot water is literally hot enough to cause first degree burns. Normally I'd not consider complaining about how hot water could get, but it was just ridiculous. I'm an adult and I burned my finger, imagine what could happen to a child trying to operate this. There was also water damage and possible mold above the shower head, the sink handle is barely attached (and also supplies dangerously hot water.) For the amount this place charges per room a night, I could get a motel that at least mops their floors. I had very little interaction with staff, aside from a housekeeper barging into my room by accident when I was changing, without knocking. Thankfully I had the metal door latch engaged, so they didn't come in, but it was frightening how they just barged in like that! I recommend staying elsewhere. The price isn't very good, especially not for the actual quality...

Reasonable price. The manager L.B. has excellent customer service. I was helped this morning by a young man named Junior, these gentleman are upstanding men. Went out of their way to accommodate me. I am a single female and I feel safe knowing that these young men take that into consideration when placing me in a room. I am going to be here for a while. They put me let's just say on the QUIET SIDE LOL. BUT SERIOUSLY I KNOW THIS HOTEL HAS HAD SOME ISSUES BUT IT HAS CHANGED FOR THE BETTER.... I FEEL SAFE I CAN WALK MY DOGS ANYTIME DAY OR NIGHT. PEOPLE THAT STAY HERE JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE GOING THROUGH LIFE. THEY TOO ARE VERY FRIENDLY POLITE AND STAY TO THEMSELVES. L.B. AND JUNIOR NEEDS TO BE NOTICED AND REWARDED FOR HOW THEY TREAT THEIR GUEST.... IF I COULD INFORM THE OWNER MYSELF I WOULD. JUST HOPE THEY VALUE...

THE BUDGET INN AND THE ECONOMY INN ARE BY FAR THE BEST OUT OF THE THREE OF THEM AND THAT'S NOT SAYING A LOT... BUT THE STAY EXPRESS "AKA" THE MASTER'S INN IS DEPLORABLE AND DISGUSTING AND THEY ARE ONLY GOOD FOR ONE THING ...AND IT'S DEFINITELY NOT TO HAVE A ROMANTIC EXPERIENCE OR A QUICKIE.....SO BLAST AWAY BEDBUGS...SO SLEEP TIGHT AND DON'T LET THE BEDBUGS BITE IF THEY DO HIT EM WITH A SHOE TILL THEY TURN BLACK...
