The Shore House Hotel & Residences North Wildwood — Hotel in North Wildwood

Okay to start off the hotel was very nice but the music made me feel like I was trapped in an elevator the music was horrible and annoying. The Tv and WiFi did not work, the tv was frozen the entire time (4 days) the WiFi was terrible it did not work you could connect to it but it was very slow and just terrible all together until we brought it to the staffs attention AFTER they wanted us to leave. The staff were okay until we got a call from “hotel security” accusing us of shouting racial slurs at people which is absolutely false I mean come on seriously? We then asked “hotel security” what for racial slurs we were shouting and they disregarded the question completely.we were also accused of being disruptive even tho we were talking to ALL of the people that were there at the time. We were also accused of running around at 2 AM which is not true we ran out of toilet paper so I had to go get some. “Hotel security” then told us that if we continued being “disruptive” they were going to call the police and have us escorted out. we were sitting outside on the balcony around 12am talking. are family’s not aloud to do that? Apparently not. “Hotel security” then told us that “the kids have to stay in the room past 11pm” which is there quiet hours. Seriously? I go on vacation to go on the beach and have a good time all together not sit at a hotel and be treated like I’m back in elementary school. We paid for a big room we ended up getting one of there smallest rooms. We asked for help carrying our bags up to the second floor even tho our reservation said that we were on the 1st floor. “Hotel security” said “how many kids did you bring with you” my mom said “3 teenagers” hotel security then said “well they could have helped you bring them up” are you kidding me!? We asked for help bringing up our suit cases because they were very heavy is that too much to ask for. That night around there quiet hours the owner told one of his employees to sit under our balcony. The reason I know this is because we were packing our stuff the night before so that in the morning we could just get up and leave. We went to load our stuff into the car and a car that was parked next to us did not have a parking pass and the owner of that vehicle came out to put his stuff in the car. My mom then said “hello how are you doing how long are you on vacation for?” guy said “ Im just here keeping an eye on things for the owner” my mom then said “was there some sort of problem” guy then said “well there were some issues with some of the guests” my mom then said “do you mean us” guy said “are you guys in room 207” my mom then said “yes, but I’m sure you already knew that” Guys seriously don’t waste your money on this place this place is a absolute joke. The amount of disrespect and hatred towards us for absolutely NO REASON is terrible we literally did nothing wrong but enjoy a vacation and this is what happens. The hotel is nice well the outside at least. But a small room for 6 people that’s not cool. Never staying here again I am disgusted on how “hotel security” handled that situation there is not need to literally SCREAM through the phone there is no need for that you could have went about that situation in so many ways. Shore house if your reading this do us all a favor and get rid of your trashy music...

I can’t say enough good things about The Shore House, Diego, and his whole team. They made our big annual family vacation so special. Diego went above and beyond, from the time we booked (which was no easy feat booking for our 24-person family!) to the day we left. He was so attentive, caring, and genuinely kind— qualities which are typically hard to come by when booking and staying at these kinds of beach hotels.

Hotel: loved the spacious and clean 2-bedroom condos we stayed in! My only 2 drawbacks/suggestions for improving the room set-up would be:

1. Storage: would be great if they added a dresser/ drawers in the bedrooms and at least an open cabinet or shelf in the kitchen area. We had nowhere to unpack our clothes into for a week-long stay— a 6-person family living out of suitcases for a week is a bit rough. Thankfully we had packed our non-refrigerated food in storage bins, so we were able to work out of those but the unit had a lot of open space so it seemed silly that there were no cabinets available to put food into.
2. Refrigerator: Our refrigerator was very small and did not work well— our perishables were barely kept cold. The freezer part worked great though, and the appliance overall was a super cute retro-theme. But we would rather have had a larger, better functioning fridge over one with a cute aesthetic. I know the residences are privately owned/not furnished by TSH though but hopefully this feedback makes its way to the unit owner or helps others who are preparing for their upcoming stay! :)

Amenities: this place has all the perks! Made packing for the trip so much easier, however one downside was that there weren’t enough beach chairs, wagons, and umbrellas available for the number of folks staying in all the units. On multiple occasions, members of our group were not able to get beach chairs or umbrellas as they were all gone by the time they got down to the office. Was not the end of the world as we were able to share/stagger who sat under umbrellas, but would be great if there were enough chairs for the number of guests in all units so that guests don’t have to stress over getting up early enough to secure a beach chair before other guests took them all. Especially for those of us who may be waking up/getting the family out later in the morning.

Overall, 10/10 would recommend TSH in North Wildwood and we certainly cannot wait to come back! BIG big thank you to Diego, Katie, Janet and crew who helped us make amazing family memories this summer. I cannot say enough good things about these folks. My boyfriend's family was staying here for their Summer Vacation. My boyfriend was there from Monday to Wednesday, my son and I came out to stay Monday night into Tuesday and we left Tuesday night because I had a notary class the next day on July 30.

I did love it here, my one issue was not enough parking. They only allowed one car per room to park on the property. I had so much stuff with me because I was not only packed for one night in Wildwood but packed for the next week without my son in case I ended up sleeping over anywhere. I usually don't sleep over anyone's house but my sister's but I always carry extra clothes on nights I won't have my son in case I end up being offered to sleep at a friend's house or something I'm prepared. So because of my issues with being prepared and having too much stuff when I found out I couldn't park at the hotel I had a mini heart attack on the inside. When I got to the hotel, I had to figure out what I needed and unload my car and than I ended up parking the car 3 blocks away. I am not sure if they can arrange more parking, I don't know if it's possible but it's the one gripe I have.

The room my boyfriend, son and I stayed in had a king size bed. I bought a cot for my son to sleep on but my son ended up at the end of the bed because he didn't want to sleep in the cot, I ended up in the middle of the bed and my boyfriend ended up at the other end of the bed. The 3 of us fit lol. The room had a kitchenette. I love the rooms with the kitchenettes. I like to bring groceries with me on trips so I can save money on food out so anyplace that has a kitchenette I love.

I bought regular coffee to brew and were dismayed to learn they had a keurig, if I knew that I would have bought some of my disposable k cups with me. It ended up being okay they had starbucks k cups that they provided and I was more than happy to drink that.

They had a pretty nice pool. I didn't get to visit the beach but I heard they provided beach accessories. This hotel was also located at the end of the boardwalk and very close to it.
