Hassles Ice Cream — Restaurant in North Wildwood

Okay there is no atmosphere it's an ice cream place you walk in stand in line place your order and neither sit inside at the 4 tables for go outside and eat at one of the tables they have there for you. I will tell you their prices are reasonable I always get the banana split the bigger one with chocolate strawberry and I let them pick the other flavor which is either butter pecan or coffee or maybe mint chocolate chip I like all three of them pick and they laugh at me actually the last time I went they split the coffee and the butter pecan in half with the other two flavors they are not on the boardwalk but right off they have a lot of flavors the help is very friendly parking that's the different story they used to have the lot right next door to them for years that I've been going to them but this year what I have heard the owner of that lot wanted to buy their place and of course they don't want to sell so he took a lot away from them and put a fence around it so now you have to pay to park either in the lot our on the street but this place will not disappoint and you won't walk away hungry they also owned the miniature golf course that's right behind the building if you want...

I’m extremely disappointed by the experience my family and I had at Hassel’s Ice Cream. We were skipped in line by staff, even though we had been waiting patiently, and it felt very intentional. What made it even more disturbing is that this wasn’t an isolated incident — another part of our family visited at a different time and experienced the exact same thing.

It’s hard not to see a pattern here, especially when we were the only people of color in line both times. The behavior from staff — avoiding eye contact, ignoring us when it was clearly our turn, and prioritizing others behind us — was blatant and disheartening.

No one should feel unwelcome or unseen when supporting a local business. I sincerely hope this was not racially motivated, but two separate incidents involving the same family are too much to ignore.

Until this is addressed seriously by management, I can’t recommend this...

This place has been here for years! They must be doing something right! If you want a good and tasty ice cream, then this is your place. It’s not the best I’ve ever had but it’s really very good. I had the dairy free option and I had 2 choices. This was a novelty for me because there’s usually just one dairy free option! I had dairy free cookie dough with marshmallow topping and it was really delicious. My friend had chocolate chip mint and she said how tasty hers was. The only criticism would be is the ridiculously long line every evening! We ordered somewhat early in the evening (around 8:30pm) and the line wasn’t too bad.
