We've stayed here at least 7 times and have generally had good experiences, at least after the rebranding. The rooms are comfortable, spacious, and nicely furnished. Night stands have built-in outlets with USB-A and USB-C charging ports, which is convenient. The bathroom is very nice as well; water pressure in the shower is good (though not great). Rooms have adequate lighting and good light-blocking shades. They have a nice mini fridge. Water bottles are $3, but there's a water bottle filler in the ground floor. Rooftop is very nice, although I wish the they were more proactive about dealing with wet cushions in the morning (I got soaked sitting on one despite clear shoes and sun). WiFi up top is decent, but not good enough for video calls. WiFi in the rooms is pretty good though. Some traffic and train noise--not great for very light sleepers. One weird thing: the front doors are manually operated swing doors, which is very unusual for a hotel (hard to pull a door open when holding bags) and probably not ADA-compliant. Like all Norwalk hotels, prices sometimes get obscenely inflated for no apparent reason. $200/night feels fair, but when it gets above $300 I'm pretty hesitant, and I won't stay when it's above $400.

We recently stayed here for business and felt pleasantly surprised. The rooms, service, and location were excellent. The lobby sitting area is spacious and inviting. Plenty of area to relax or work with a nice view. We were glad to have chosen this other some other options in south Norwalk. There were a couple of things we felt could be improved. First, there really is no breakfast option at the hotel. The hotel restaurant doesn’t open for breakfast and the hotel only offered packaged oatmeal and a coffee bar downstairs, which didn’t feel up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. The other thing was the lack of coffee in room. It wasn’t communicated at check-in that there isn’t an in-room coffee machine (they had a tea kettle instead). I’ve never experienced this before. Coffee was available downstairs or you can request a French press at the front desk. There is a nice cafe a 3-minute walk away for coffee/breakfast. I recommend staying here.

The housekeeping team started pounding on all the doors on the second floor starting @ 09:00 and every 15 minutes afterwards. It was absurd! I was in room 245 06/15-16/24, for a 40th birthday party. I went to front desk and asked what the heck was going on. Got a terrible attitude, mind you check out is 11:00 am, and I requested late check out, while I was @ front desk they woman knocked again to which my girlfriend screamed go away. I took card of Pia Bolanos and have sent 2 emails none of which were responded too, and have called the phone number on card for a week. Absolutely the worst place I have ever stayed. Restaurant was blah, couldn’t make a cold martini. Don’t go here!! Food 👎🏻 service slow. Bar tender had her mom visiting her on shift barking out orders was terrible!

Mid October I called the hotel to make reservations for my daughter’s 11th birthday. The reservation was for November 17 to the 18th when I called I explained to the manager at the time that is going to be 8 girls and two adults so I need a studio I book the studio and I asked them for the waterfront view just to make it more special for the girls. I had read the policies to the hotel 11 o’clock no noise making we got there Friday evening. The girls were excited to be there to be having a sleepover with their friends in a hotel room so of course excitement for 11 years old it’s over the top they were making noise granted but by 9:30these girls were in the bed watching a movie And playing games aboard game that I had brought by then we start receiving phone calls from downstairs front desk stating that we are making so much noise and if it continues they’re gonna have to take the extreme measures by calling the police. I told the girls by 930 please I need you to be in bed and that’s it. The girls were in bed by 9:45 more calls was coming in and there was no noise being made in that room, so I went downstairs to find out what was going on and the front desk person was like yes we did call the police and they will be here shortly. She ended up calling the manager on her cell phone to let me know that they are so sorry that they had to take the extreme measures of calling the cops on 11yr old girls then I told her if the cops show up for no reason because there’s no noise going on up there I am leaving and I want a full refund the manager on the try to apologize to me for what was going on because she was the 1 the I booked the rooms (from the very beginning I was very transpiring with her)oh I am so sorry I’m gonna have them call the cops and cancel the call. by then the cops were already there and I told the front desk person I said, do you know how traumatizing this would have been for those young girls upstairs for police officers to go in knock on the door.disappointed in the way they was running things that night and so a shame because my daughter was upstairs crying her eyes out because of what was going on the phone calls was coming in even after all that the person next door called the room and was just harassing us at this point. Comes Saturday morning we go downstairs for the fruit and cereal that they have out for breakfast we seen a group of people standing on the side a gentleman approached the girls are you the people sleeping in 343? The other parents said yes is there a problem? He said you’re the people that’s making all that noise, she said if there’s a problem, sir, you approach me you don’t talk to the kids? We notice that he wanted to go back-and-forth so we went out for breakfast for instead,I hate to put race into this, but at this point it was just so obvious of what was going on, the manager knew that they had done wrong meaning the hotel about handling the situation that she offered the girls to get whatever they wanted from the little concession stand that they had just to shut us up at that point because they knew they was wrong of how they handled the whole situation, when we was getting ready to check out the manager called upstairs to the room and said I’m just calling to make sure that there are no noise coming out this room. I said you know what there’s no need for you to worry about it. We are Leaving, I have never experienced anything like that never for this establishment they’re supposedly luxury establishment and they have no sense of training when it comes to something like this it’s a shame a shame I would not recommend this hotel to anyone that is black because your money is no good there find a different place because if there’s a bunch of white people there you are not gonna receive the service that you are paying for and these rooms are not cheap we nearly paid $900 for one night and got treated like that pitiful. It was a disgrace these kids were traumatized of this situation here and as a parent, you do not send your child off and come back with such news...

Our dog was going in for surgery at Cornell University Specialists in Stamford and was going to be there for two days. We live almost 2 hours away and I didn’t want to have to go home and be far away from him so I decided to find a place to stay overnight. I thought since it’s one night let me find some place really special and really nice. I discovered The Watershed! I chose it based on reviews, which seemed exceptional and also the photos. But you never know until you get there yourself I can only say it far exceeded any expectations I had. You almost never can say that , there was not one thing that disappointed . Pretty much everything was better than I thought . From the people at the front desk, to the lobby to the peacefulness to even the beautiful hallways. everything was so clean and calm. The rooms were beautiful. I know some people complained about the train even though they liked the rooms with the river view, but I can say I am the lightest sleeper ever and I never heard the train once during the night. I’m also not a great sleeper at home. Let alone when I go away. I had one of my better nights sleep as that bed is so comfortable and they actually had great comfortable pillows.|Everyone we encountered that worked there was kind and professional, and welcoming, from the people at the front desk to the housekeeping staff to the manager. We liked it so much that we are going to go back for no reason at all other than it was a great place to stay . And there’s so much to do in the surrounding towns 20-30 minutes away. There are several community beaches , where you buy a day pass and you’re in. It’s right on the Long Island sound and they’re beautiful and pristine . There’s museums and shopping. There’s so much to do nearby . For us , It’s like a really great vacation and we don’t have to travel far and we don’t have to spend a fortune. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. You will not be sorry and don’t be put off that it’s in a somewhat commercial neighborhood because once you step inside those doors, you think you’ve been transported somewhere else and when you look at the back walls, to the small river and rocks, |You will be happy...

We arranged a room block at the newly renovated Watershed hotel for our daughter and son-in-law’s November 2024 wedding weekend. Everything about the experience for our family and our guests, who occupied 65 rooms in the hotel, was absolutely terrific!

The hotel sales staff, under the leadership of Emily Ksiazek, was a pleasure to work with on the room block we reserved. When we happily learned that the wedding turnout would be well beyond our expectations, Emily was very supportive and worked with us to increase the room block size on two separate occasions. In addition, Emily and her colleague, Indira Penate, met with us the week before the wedding and gave us helpful information.

The renovation of the boutique Watershed hotel was completed in May 2024. It is conveniently located right off the Merritt Parkway, a short distance from numerous destinations between Stamford and Fairfield CT, including the location of our wedding events. All of the hotel common areas and the guest rooms were redesigned and updated this year, and the hotel is now absolutely beautiful. The very pleasant lobby lounge, which has comfortable furniture and overlooks the pretty Norwalk River, was a great venue for our guests to mingle throughout the weekend.

The Watershed’s service is top-notch. The front-end staff is friendly and very service oriented. The team did a great job distributing our “Welcome bags” to our guests for the wedding. We received many positive comments about the enhanced facility and the service.

The final event of our wedding weekend was a lovely Sunday brunch at the Siena restaurant, arranged by our son-in-law’s parents who worked with Brandon Wagner, the Events Director. Brandon and his staff were very accommodating. It was great to have a restaurant with such delicious food, excellent service and a pleasant atmosphere located right at the hotel. The brunch was a total winner and the perfect ending to a spectacular weekend.

In summary, we were very happy with our choice of the Watershed as the hotel for our daughter and son-in-law’s...
