We planned a 3 night stay over Labor Day weekend. Since we don’t live too terribly far, I decided to check in right at 1 to get our set up started before returning later with the family. I honestly thought we’d be able to get a better site by being there right at check in too. I was wrong. They decide who goes where, before you arrive. They take zero consideration into how many people and nights some are staying. One would think 4 campers staying 3 nights would get a better site than 2 people staying one night. As I drove to look for our site number (87), a man in a golf cart greeted me before I even parked. I immediately mention the lack of shade compared to every other tent site surrounding us. He said “it will be shaded soon.” This was 1pm. The shade happened at 7pm (which would’ve been 8pm or later in July). When I expressed my concerns AGAIN he then said they had a full campground and *some* might have requested specific site numbers. HIGHLY doubtful. This isn’t some desirable place people flock to repetitively. You can tell some campers live there full time and most come through for one night in the middle of their travels. So no option to try to make it better (1 star service IMO). Considering we watched people come and go for one night at a time in their nicely shaded spots while we continuously ran from the sun, I wasn’t happy. One..possibly two sites never had campers in it and they were so perfectly shaded. The pad to put your tent on was too narrow so we had an awkward drop off inside of the tent. The gravel made it impossible to stake anything down. I did voice my opinion on the terrible site to two other employees. One offered to look to see if another site was available but it would’ve taken so much time to move all of our stuff since we were already settled. The only reason I didn’t give a 1 star review was because they did cater to our kids. They had a foam party which was so fun and wagon rides (along with the bounce pad). The peddle cars are not free. Didn’t even see mini golf but I assume it wasn’t free. I knew going in that there were frequent complaints of highway noise and that’s true, it is loud, but I expected it. We packed a sound machine. Photos of each of their sites would be helpful. Normally I do a ton of research to make sure I pick the perfect site. That wasn’t an option and I will never go to another campground where I can’t choose. We left a day early.

This used to be a nice campground. This will be the last time we stay at this one. Everything listed, that makes it sound attractive to families, is in utter disrepair. Let’s start with the pool. The astroturf around the pool hasn’t been cared for. It still has leaves all over the perimeter from last fall… and it’s July. On top of that, ants crawled all over my legs when I sat on one of the lounge chairs for no more than 5 minutes. The pool liner is coming out of the coping, and the water is *way* off balance. You can’t even see the bottom, and it’s only 5 feet deep. Gross! The ladder going into the pool isn’t very stable at all as it’s just haphazardly bolted to the deck. Now let’s talk about the sites. Some are great. If you *have to* stay here, upgrade! Ours was as pretty unlevel and short, even given that it was rated for our size. The picnic table needed to be thrown in the fire pit; it was that bad. We backed up to the interstate, but that’s a given due to location, fine, but they could at least try to make up for that with giving you a level site that doesn’t make you feel like you’re going to roll into the ravine behind the site. Now let’s talk about mini golf. Many broken “decorations”. The turf is obviously an old recycled football field, fine. The holes aren’t numbered, and the bordering “stones” all fall away from the turf when a child stands on them—dangerous! Now, the jump pad. Our kids jumped and said it was pretty bad. To quote them, it was “worse than a deflated bouncy house.” Now, the positives. Staff was super nice, the store was nice, and our trash was picked up from our site everyday. Overall though? Very disappointing considering the price, especially when you expect better from a campground flying the KOA flag.

This is an outstanding five star KOA! like most KOAs it is very clean the staff is nice but it is exceptionally clean and there are a lot of things for the family to do. They have miniature golf they have a blow up bouncy bed, a playground, and a little water mining table where you can have your kids pretend to be minors. There's also volleyball and basketball. They have restrooms and showers but they also have family restrooms and showers which was really accommodating to my parents that are 82 and 85 years old. We did not stay in one of the cabins but we got to look inside and they are very cozy and clean as well. Great staff and very accommodating. The young man who took us to our site came up and told us after we parked if there's anything we meet feel free to ask we're here for you. Very nice to see the younger generation being respectful and doing their job! The campsite is not far from I-70 but as you drive through the apartment developments to get to it don't be fooled the campsite is very nice very safe and secure! We saved this campground to our KOA camp app and we will definitely be here again!

We have been to this campground several times, but this past weekend was horrible. I booked our site a month in advance for my son's birthday. I told them other people might be booking as well and asked if they could be put close to us. Due to our booking they had 4 other camping spots reserved. I called at one point and asked for our campsite # and she refused to give it to me,telling me I was not allowed to know since I could be moved at anytime. I explained I reserved a specific site by the pool and I should have that one,she said she put a hold on it but still refused to give me the #. once we got there everything was fine, until one of the escort and grounds keeper guys came to our site. apparently they came to our site because my husband used a sawsaz and they assumed we were cutting firewood....our bed broke and he was making a make shift stand to hold up the bed. Right before approaching us they got out and looked at every single car to see if they had a pass and if they were blocking anything. THEN after getting a very hateful attitude with my husband about the saw he told him his truck was in the way of the road(2 feet) and needed to move it all the way to the front. I might add he did this in front of everyone in our party. I became upset and tried to stand up for us but he became an even bigger jerk and showed his authority. I went straight to the office since I was trying to diffuse all the kids and adults seeing this situation. I was mad and had an attitude but the guy was so cocky I couldn't take it and I walked off while he was talking. after returning to our campsite 2 other trucks parked in the drive,I called to ask why we were told to move and not them and yes I was a bit testy but they were never asked to move for the 24 hours we were there. I went to their store to buy foil and I heard 3 of them talking about me. I asked them to shut the door if they were gonna talk about me and they did. Later while me son was eating cake and opening presents I was pulled aside by the head maintaince man. I told him we the party was going,he said I could leave but would need to come back up to speak with him. I refused to leave told him to go one. At that time he informed me if I continued to escalate the situation I would be asked to leave the campground. anything I said he automatically said well that's is not what I am hearing,so I shut my mouth and just let him talk...he wasn't going to listen anyways. he wanted to know every single camper that was there for us and how many people and kids were in every single campers spot....then he LIED and told me that #9 spot next to us had been calling and complaining about our noise level. ..I told him he was at our spot enjoying the party that want possible and I laughed cause I knew he was lying. His response...you didn't tell me they were part of your party. I was told THEY ARE NOT CUT OUT TO DO PARTIES OR EVENTS LIKE THIS,only camping. They lie at this campground and you are not their #1 priority, showing their authority is. they do not respect people, only expect the bad out of people. If you go for the night this is fine, but don't plan to stay longer. pool had scum floating on the top, bathrooms were not kept up. 2 boys bathrooms were full and couldn't be used due to the fact they didn't go in and check on them. Not a trusting...

I have been debating for a hot minute on whether or not I wanted to leave this review. We Stayed here December of 23 in the Wagon. We wanted a full bath, which it has, and liked the idea of the wagon. While the wagon was nice, there was no hot water. They told us that the previous manager had it equipped with a sink Water heater and not one big enough for the shower. We didnt ask for a discount, yet the manager gave us one, in which we were grateful. Due to that we decided to stay here again only in a Deluxe Cabin when we came back Jan of 25. This stay was not pleasant. On our way to KC they called us and told us there was no cable and that if that was a deal breaker we could find somewhere else. They told us the TV was a smart TV and we could stream on it. The TV was not a smart TV, but no big deal. They also told us not to be alarmed that the cabinets would be open due to temperatures being low, and they were. The next night temps dropped down and sometime between 3AM and 6 AM the pipes froze. We let them know early that morning so maybe maintenance could get them unfroze. They called us later and said maintenance said once they froze there was nothing they could do. The girl also proceeded to blame us because we didnt leave the water dripping. She said it was dripping when we checked in, which it wasnt, and that we should have kept them dripping. She then proceeded to lecture us about how we should know how to keep pipes freezing. We explained to her we know how to keep pipes from freezing, but we are on a trip and that is the furthest thing from our minds. We also told her how other KOA's we stay at send out text messages on stays to remind people of simple stuff, like leave water dripping, because they understand when people are traveling or on vacation they dont think of stuff like that. She told us she'd move us 1 cabin over be we had to come in immediately to get keys. Of course we were on other side of city and had plans so I had to bring up if she'd just put it in late check in.

Now the kicker for me, and why I have been hesitant to post this review. When we checked on after night 3 to head home, I told them at the counter about what happened and my displeasure. I was not looking for, or cared for a discount, but wanted her to know that how we were talked to made us not want to come back to this KOA, and she apologized and said she hated for us not to come back. However, being a KOA Rewards member, and stays at a lot of KOA's through they year, I knew the day after check out we'd get a link from KOA to review our stay, where I was going to be honest. As of this review I still have not received it 6 months later. I told close friends who own a KOA themselves and a couple other KOA managers about it, and they told me the exact same thing. They removed my email from their booking on my rewards so it wouldn't send me the review since I was honest about it before I left.

Unfortunately as a rewards member who stays at a lot of KOAs I doubt we will be back to...

The young woman on phone told me that a larger RV came in and she said it was bigger than ours and came in last minute and gave them our spot which we paid for 2 months ago. She then told me they refunded the money but when we went inside to get a spot my husband asked to explain why we lost our spot. She offered no info but "my manager told me to".

I walked in and the manager was inside when I was talking to the young woman. I said we needed a spot even though you gave it away and he told me that it was double booked and the spot never existed. The other deluxe patio spots had the same problem and he admitted that other people had the same issue and we are not the first people to be mad at him. He told me I was to leave after I asked for a spot at the site. After I explained to them we had been traveling for 5 hours that day, he said the other RV was booked the same time we booked ours. This didn't add up, two different stories.

The manager and the young woman told both my husband and I that we were yelling which my husband confronted the young woman if we were yelling and she didn't protest. The manager then claimed after that the spot was booked for two nights and we were just here for one night so that's why he gave it away. (Story number 3) After I walked out it appeared that one of his employees was talking pictures of my license plate.

I checked in online the night before but apparently to them it didn't go through or they just didn't care. The manager and young woman were extremely rude and we felt unsafe at the site but had nowhere else to go. The manager kept telling us we can go somewhere else if we committed to yell but all I was asking was a spot for the night. We had to remind them nobody was yelling and just needed a spot for the night. And he proceeded to tell me that I can't stay here. I reassured him that we won't bother anyone, we just needed a place to stay. At this point he started pointing at the young woman and said I was irate towards a teenager. So after arguing with me you gave up and started hiding behind a teenage girl? I was stunned.

After about an hour being at the site ( after 5pm) we were at the park and we saw the young woman and another young man in the yellow shirt (the one that took a picture of my lisence plate) looked at our direction and then yelled something that I didn't hear. Then the young woman slapped his arm and said "stop it" out loud. Throughout the evening, staff members kept driving by our site and stared at us.

The playground was not safe for my kids to play on, there were multiple items at the park that were broken and my kids could have been seriously hurt. There is no care to this place for equipment or guests. I didn't feel safe there.

Lasrtly, they placed us by the highway and if you were outside, you'd have to yell to talk to someone. And at night it's extremely hard to go to sleep hearing semi trucks drive by and honk...
