Stopped in Sunday, July 16th around 5:15pm for dinner. HUGE mistake! The server, Lillie, decided to give her audience a show. She couldn't stop moving and TALKING! Talking so loud it made the experience very unenjoyable. That was the most uncomfortable dinner ever. The cook proclaimed he was quitting then walked out. Lillie, at the top of her voice couldn't believe he quit and let my husband, son and myself know the whole business there. First of all...I do not care what's going on there. I really don't. Please let us eat in peace and quiet. People shouldn't have to know everyone's work history and what you and others think of them. Second, I really don't need dinner and a freaking show... plus whatever drugs Lillie was on that made her move so darn much. I've never seen anything thing like that. The yelling at one another and the details of everybody's everything! Why? She kept proclaiming it was embarrassing to have the cook walk out. I'll have to be very hungry to go back there. People want to relax and eat not be caught in workplace drama. Thirty minute captive audience of Lillie the server who thinks we care about her volatile relationship with the cook (and others) there at Waffle House. I did give more than once star because I've eaten there twice before with no problems. It's actually a nice place when I've been there before. I believe Mary (hope I'm remember her name correctly) waited on us before and she was very pleasant. But, Lillie! I've never seen anything like THAT before! She was wanting my name so she could have her manager talk to me so I could tell him/her how horrible the cook was. I seriously can not put enough emphasis on just how horrible that whole experience was. If anyone has the video surveillance July 18, 2023 from about 5:15pm to 5:45pm. Food good ☆☆☆ Service undesirable...
Read moreIn a setting that one might never expect to rouse the palate, Waffle House’s newest sauce has managed to conjure a surprising bloom of complexity. Each dab—though initially greeted with skepticism—unfolds into a smoky waltz of chipotle heat, tempered by a whisper of sweet warmth. It’s as if someone took the rowdy spirit of a roadside diner and coaxed it into something almost... refined.
The first taste, admittedly, had me rolling my eyes at its presumptions. Chipotle, at a place like this? Yet the sauce tiptoes deftly along the line between boldness and overindulgence. Its fire never quite rages; instead, it simmers with a subtle, ember-like glow. It clings delicately to the back of the tongue, leaving a lingering hush of warmth that suggests a thoughtfulness rather unexpected from a franchise more known for its 3 a.m. hash browns than culinary nuance.
The texture is another quiet triumph. It’s velvety enough to spread with ease, but not so thick as to be cloying. There’s a playful balance between its earthy undercurrent and the tangy brightness that seems to flirt at the corners of the mouth. The sauce does not seek dominion over the meal—no, it aligns itself as a courteous companion, offering depth and dimension rather than insisting on center stage.
Would I have asked for such a thing from Waffle House? Certainly not. Yet here we are, and one finds oneself, in spite of all contrary expectations, impressed. It’s a sauce that takes a culinary cliché—the smoky sting of chipotle—and refines it with understated elegance. Let this new elixir remind us that even the humblest of kitchens can yield a small but...
Read moreWorst experience I've ever had ANYWHERE. Weren't greeted at all. Then the waitress couldn't even speak to us without talking in a whisper. Received our food after watching them cook without gloves or hats on. Instantly disgusted with how the food looked and tasted. Sat there while waiting for the server to be done smoking and told her that we weren't satisfied. She proceeded to act like we were in the wrong and handed us our check expecting us to pay full price. Then another lady came over and got in my face and I explained in great detail from the awful service to the horrible food and why I wasn't paying for it. Then was told they would call the boss, expecting the boss to treat me as badly as they were. Then I was told they'd take care of the check. Heard and watching them talking badly about me and brought me back the SAME full check. I told them I for sure wasn't paying for it being treated like this. Then the one lady threatened the cops like they were gonna arrest me for not being able to even stomach the food and allow me to be called names from the workers. I could do nothing but laugh as my blood boiled. Then they handed me a check with $5 taken off and expected me to pay it still after this whole ordeal. Needless to say cooperate will be called especially since there were remarks made as I walked...
