Ground Roots Coffee — Restaurant in Oak Grove

This is a nice cozy joint. We stopped in for some much needed caffeine. The lady at the counter was very attentive, helpful, and pleasant to chat with. It looks like they have daily and weekly specials here, so there are more options than the standard menu lets on. It wasn’t clear if there were nondairy options. I forgot to ask because I was set on their delicious spicy chai.

The coffee here is delicious and strong. The chai has a nice spicy kick. The croissants are fresh, scrumptious, and like many other things here, are sourced locally. Adorable coffee shop with a welcoming twist! I had the espresso martini and a burrito and both were great! The service was amazing and the woman who took care of me was genuinely very sweet. Atmosphere itself is very vibey, plants, cool lights, and plenty of seating. *book & board game area as well as bar beverages encourage a genuine sit-down-and-chill feeling (AKA I don't feel rushed to get out, love that) *legit baby-changing table in the bathroom (parents would rave over this imo, it's a very well prepared restroom) *Overall I like this shop and wish it existed when I went to school here. Some of the most friendliest people I’ve ever met at a public place, ( The Hot Chocolate is my favorite) , they’re pop tarts are also super good and the muffins are my favorite thing to get if, if I get food♥️♥️, As for the place itself I LOVE to just order my drink and I could sit in here for HOURS if I could (which I’m sure they wouldn’t mind) The atmosphere is comfy/cozy (I’ve almost fell asleep 😂). They have other items like $5 mystery books (I’ve bought so many and the books are great), they also have I believe it’s local jams and apple butter.
