CHINA BUFFET — Restaurant in Oak Grove

The hours shown open until 10pm. I went in around 8pm, I expected the food to be fresher on the buffet bars, I asked about a few menu items to be made fresh since what was on the bar was dried out, I was even asked what portion or how many of an item I would like, I was expecting them to be brought to my table. I was told when I paid my bill that there were some menu items brought out and I must have missed it. Good grief, nothing was ever announced or brought to my table. At least keep the most popular menu items kept up and made fresh. There were other folks eating as well. I thought it was far and away enough from closing time that food would have been better. Definitely disappointed, I should have chosen a fast food restaurant...

Walked in & was seated quickly (mainly because the place was completely empty). Was given sour sweet tea & when we tried to get the waitresse's attention, she was nose deep in/on her phone. We called out "ma'am" multiple times and she still didn't even look up from her phone. In the end, we had to get up & go to her to request different drinks. Same waitress disappeared to the bathroom, was in there for 15 minutes, came out nose deep in her phone & did NOT even wash her hands!!! Food-wise, jello had turned, tea was sour, food in general was dry and out past the time stated to change. Apparently service here is so slow/bad that they installed a basket ball hoop behind the place to pass the time. DEFINITELY NOT...

We have been eating at this restaurant for years and have never had any complaints until now. We had been on a road trip most of the day and it was late when we got home. This was around 6:00PM and we decided on Chianese food here in Oak Grove. A lot of the items were very low or out and we're never restocked in the half hour we were there. The food that was very low was uneatable. It seems that one of my favorite places to eat has become a Daycare now. The baby got more attention than the customers did.
