My fiance had made reservations for 2 rooms. He, my mother and I were staying there for the weekend of our wedding bon Oct 3. We arrived late, I had tried to call to let them know, no answer. There were NO SHEETS ON EITHER BED IN #21. Management had to go buy sheets for one bed. Then the PD shows up with K-9 and police everywhere... two doors from my mom and my room, #27, trying to arrest a man with a warrant the police were attempting to arrest. He didn't want to come out and I was ordered into my room.||The room was not really clean. The bathroom sink had been stopped up and nasty water sitting in it. Went to office, maintenance came and unstopped it, and left a big, watery, dirty mess that I had to clean up|| When I pulled the covers back, there was a huge hole right in the middle where I was to sleep, exposing a dirty mattress cover. Told management next day, they bought a new set of sheets, gave them to me unwashed in the PKG, I guess to make the bed myself. We had towels, but room 21 did not. Room 21 was completely unprepared for occupancy. We reserved for 3 nites from 1 to 3 of October. I wanted to leave in the first 10 minutes after we arrived and find another motel, but it was late.||We stayed the entire weekend... would've loved to try the pool, but honestly, I didn't trust that it would be adequately clean and water tested with the way the rest of the motel was kept. Looks good from the street, but once I you move into a room, you can tell it has not had good upkeep and is mostly transient occupants. The other side of our room was a pleasant enough couple, but started arguing loudly at about 7 a.m. each morning we were there and at intervals during our stay. Management was courteous, and met basic needs, but we had reservations for almost two weeks... they should have been ready for us with rooms made up fresh. Especially since we arrived after 6 p.m. ||It could be a wonderful motel, so much potential, but with absentee owners, the management bus is Not realizing that full potential... and completely fails customers that come to stay in not even making sure rooms are clean and ready on arrival with reservations. Also, I had to go after the first night to fetch a bedspread to cover the 2nd bed exposed mattress and when the person had brought sheets for the bed he was to sleep in, he had to request them to make the bed for him as they had just handed everything to him at the door. I had to rinse my tub down before I bathed. My bare feet were black on bottom from the dirty, uncarpeted floor. I can't say it was all horrible, we hung in, but there were handwritten signs all over the office stating NO REFUNDS and we paid nearly, if not the whole of $300 for the rooms for the weekend. Definitely NOT a family friendly motel. Not prepared for reserved guests in check-in and woefully unclean and unsafe premises.||Sorry, but it's an F Plus at the Silver Springs Motel for anything but transient occupants. ||Mr and Mrs...

Read moreBeware even if your animal is a licensed and registered service animal they will charge you a $25 dollar service fee which is a violation of law.
They will not allow you to receive mail or packages here. Even though they let you pay monthly as an extended stay. They have cameras. They not only accused me of checking the mailbox, they asked me if I was sure. They didn't even check their cameras before approaching me. They asked me if I knew that it was against the law? I never touched their mailbox. Only asked about receiving mail. It's slander and libel to falsely accuse someone of a crime, especially in front of other residents.
The place is close to many things and conveniently located.
I was here a month. I was never offered bathroom goods such as toilet paper, soap, fresh towels. I was never offered to have my floors cleaned or my sheets changed. One is on their own here.
The room was a little dark, could of used more lighting. I wasn't completely mortified, the place had a quaint charm and most of the staff was friendly. It would of been charming had the one person behaved so poorly IMO. The pool was very nice. Honestly, it was just one person, the manager, who was very unpleasant in every encounter I had with her. I had to pay a 100 dollar "cash" deposit and I don't mind whatever other fees they charged, though I disagree with them, I was not concerned or upset. I could not be certain they were not correct in their deductions other than their regard or disregard to my rascal. One rarely gets a full deposit back. Regular wear and tear. It is expected.
I do seriously mind the dog deposit as it violates the law and is considered discrimination too. I was actually advised that in her "expert opinion" that my dog was not a service animal and did not qualify under the law. All official documents were provided on admission and they didn't notify me until I had been there 3 weeks. My dog is a licensed service animal. She made additional statements about what she felt were the requirements for a service animal which are not consistent with HUD or federal laws. I plan on making a formal complaint to the appropriate authorities regarding this so the next poor person is not subjected to opinion not in accordance...
