Where do I start first off the owner of this motel also owns Best Western here in town .. I asked the front desk on my 2nd day here if they had any better beds . I've had back surgery an can't sleep on two mattresses piled on each other . When I lay down an then my husband I roll as if I'm on a hill all night fighting to stay level. I was then told all their King rooms had mattresses like this. Which they don't I've been here for a week an half . My husband is here working at the FPL plant . Ive seen a couple of the other rooms an they have nice mattresses on them .. So after a couple more days I go to the front an ask if we could maybe change rooms they first told me yes an said they would move me to 111 which was a double beds an at this point I didn't care .. But they couldn't move me till Saturday an this was on Friday so I said ok. Well when Saturday came I went to the front desk an asked when I would be able to move an this manager (keep in mind they have two) said well you do realize that that's two beds an you will be charged for it .. I was like oh well that's not what the other manager said but ok.. then she said let me see I maybe able to put you in room 119 it's a king an the mattress isn't like yours . I wanted to say wait I thought you said they were all like that but I just wanted a good nights sleep so I said ok. When I moved into the room the tv was all fuzzy an couldn't be fixed by me or the two girls that tried so I had to go back to this room.. I was upset an I called Best Western an they said they would have the owners call me well they called but it was from the front desk here about two hours later. She acted like she didn't understand how my mattress was a problem. So I just let her go .. please if you have issues with mold or back problems DONT STAY HERE if you can keep...
Read moreWe wanted to avoid higher priced motels - we got what we paid for. The first room we were given faced the road (park in the grass) and smelled! This was definitely a pet room - we don't have pets. The second room was right off of the hallway. It looked better at first, but we noticed several young men lounging around - smoking in the hallway, etc. The room next to us was booked to part of that group, apparently, since they felt the need to carry on long conversations in the hallway right outside our door. Also, we had to call the office at one point since a party was obviously going on - (door open, loud music, etc.) Someone in the party had to chase their dog down the hallway this morning, pre 6 a.m.! The TV remote had broken buttons; the hair dryer didn't work. The bathroom barely had room to turn around in, towels were grubby. The lady at the front desk did help, but seemed surprised at our complaints re: the original smelly room, broken remote, etc. She did calm down the loud party, but the hallway conversations went on quite late. Read moreSo I barely write reviews I’m more of a call them up and b”$?ch about something. But anyways I come to work often here in okeechobee and I have stayed at a few hotels. Holiday Hampton Flamingo 🦩 but last few times at budget inn were not great but my son and I arrived a little late back to town and I said F it I’m not paying $100 plus for 8 hours and all I’m gonna do is sleep. So I tried the budget inn again. Well IM glad I did. Beverley was the girl who checked me and my son in. She was so polite and so friendly!! A pretty face and big smile!! (Hope she sees this). The room which I’ve stayed in before was clean and smelled great!! This morning when I checked out it was early but she already had coffee ready and when I turned in my key cards I asked if the hotel was under new management and she said why yes it is I’m the new manager.
