The reviews had me excited to try this place, but I’m sad to say I was disappointed. Upon walking in, the room feels very packed with items (it’s already a small restaurant), it’s pretty dim, and doesn’t have the cleanest kitchen. I liked that I could make my own Poke bowl because their menu was a bit odd to me. The girls were very nice and attentive from the moment I walked in. I got the tuna bowl, but the tuna tasted and smelled veryyy fishy, and not in a good way. It didn’t seem like a quality sushi-grade tuna. That was a bit off-putting and I didn’t find myself able to enjoy the rest of the bowl- I ate the rice and toppings instead which were good and appeared fresh! Though, the serving sizes are fairly generous, which is always nice. I did not try any other fish/protein of choice, but the tuna I had was a bit eery. I probably wouldn’t go back as there are other places that sell tuna on the menu and it tastes fresher/not oddly fishy at all. ** I should also mention my fiance and I smelled like seafood/fish after we left the restaurant (we were inside for maybe 10 minutes?) and that is another off-putting reason I wouldn’t go back. I’m happy other people have had a better experience,...
Read moreI tried this place when it first opened and I did not like it. The rice was hard, undercooked and not a lot of sushi for the price. Never went back. After a few years and seeing it was under new ownership I decided to give it a second try. I'm sorry to report that it's not much better from the first experience. It looked good at first impression but the rice is still hard and the sushi roll fell apart when trying to eat it. It didn't really have any flavor either. So disappointed. I honestly won't be going back this time and I don't recommend it. The place smells like a seafood market when you walk in. Other sushi establishments I've been to do not smell like this place. I don't mind the smell of fresh fish don't get me wrong but why is the fish smell so strong when you go here? This is a restaurant not a fish market....I'm...
Read moreEither offer delivery or DONT! We have called 3 consecutive days to be told “we are too busy”. If the restaurant is that busy especially in Summer time that is typically slow; then the owner needs to step up and hire delivery drivers or invest in Doordash. We tip WELL as I have worked in the restaurant industry and work in customer service industry. Picking up would seem ideal to my complaint to many but I have a small child and health issues often impact my mobility. Yesterday specifically the woman whom answered was extremely rude to my husband whom is the calmest, easiest going person I know. Excellent food. Terrible service from false advertising. Step up business owner or change your policy/marketing. We are in the SW section. Not asking for a delivery more than 5...
