Pizza Heaven — Restaurant in Okeechobee

I called in to place an order on January 4, 2022. In the midst of placing my order the guy just hangs the phone up. I waited for him to call me back. I then tried to call him back and the phone was continuously busy for about 30 minutes. I tried again and the phone was continuously busy for about 20 minutes. I tried again to call and was put oh hold only to be hung up on again. These were not drop calls. Straight out hung up calls. I called the very next day and asked to speak with Angela Varson the owner and was told she was unavailable. No phone call back from her yet. I called back the next day and left my return call information. One of her staff members called me back to see if she could help me with the issue. I stated NO, I would like to speak with the owner Angela Varson. I have chosen to not do business with this establishment moving forward. I don't patronize bad business practices. I've recommended a lot of friends and associates to this establishment and have shared my experience with them. It's their decision to continue with them or move forward. Customers can make or break a business. I will no longer support this business. I've spent a lot of money in this establishment but no more. I have been ordering the same sub sandwich from Pizza Heaven for the last four years. This past month I have received the wrong sandwich twice, and have called to let them know of the mistake. Last night I ordered a large pizza half with pepperoni and half with sausage because that's where my five year old daughter wanted to eat pizza, after approximately twenty minutes of waiting ( which was fine ) the very nice young waitress notified me that the cook had made the pizza wrong and we would have to wait an additional amount of time for the correct pizza. At that time I decided to pay my bill and have them box it up and I would take it home. I also decided that I should let the owner know of the mistakes that were being made. I left a message with Ms. Varson the owner, to my dismay I received a combative and defensive phone call a short time later...VERY RUDE ! This obviously disconnected owner does not appreciate my families repeat patronage to her restaurant. I am a manager at a local business and know that this kind of service is not what you should come to expect when you are spending your hard earned money. This place made me feel like my inner fat kid had come out. I am new to the area and was craving pizza this morning. I work out on the state park just outside of town so it is a 40 minute drive into Okeechobee. I ordered a 12 inch cheese pizza to go. Being my day off I figured I would go home enjoy a movie and eat some pizza. while I waited for my pizza my dog was just out the front door one of the staff asked if my dog could have a couple treats like pepperoni and a garlic knot. Obviously my dog loved it and is now passed out fat and happy next to me. On my way home I decided that one slice on the way home wouldn’t be a big deal. So, I opened the box and had my one slice of pizza. Now I am pulling up to my place with an empty box and a need for a nap. This pizza was delicious and the staff was ridiculously friendly. Although my self image and lack of self-control are now struggling because I am walking back with this empty box just to throw away. Will be back soon and I will try the self-control process all over again. Definitely worth five stars from the staff to the taste...
