Why? After staying here for two nights, I decided to add one more day to my stay. I paid a higher rate than the original two night's, I understand and agreed. I asked for a very simple changing of my sheets when adding the additional day of stay. Chris, the manager, said no problem with this small request. Returning back to my room after service, I noticed immediately that the sheets did not get changed. I understand staff doesn't always do as they are told, cut corners to achieve more productivity, and some don't care enough to do a good job. When I addressed Chris, calmly and professionally, he immediately went into defense mode. First, proclaiming the work was done, then stating policy about service schedule. Both of which have no bearing, no reasonable argument. After all, I went in person for request, and it was granted, but not fulfilled. During the time of request, he was shadowing a professional position and smiling. Why did Chris not only deny responsibility or accountability? Was my request unbecoming? Finally offering to change sheets at 635pm, I had enough. I pay for a clean room. I absolutely expect respect and dignified behavior from anyone in a management position. Is this so unreasonable of a request? Why not tell me before I booked the additional night? Why say he will honor the simple request, then fail to do so. When addressed, I am somehow wrong? I have stayed in Hampton hotels across the US many many times. So it's not the hotel policy. It's not a one-off mistake. This guy, Chris, should not be in control of pumping gas. How hard is it to address an oversite? Just change the sheets. Instead, he chose to jerk me around, insult me, and comment of "Don't stay here." I maintained my composer and simply walked away. As I walked away, he decided to berate me again with verbiage unbecoming of anyone in this industry. Hospitality zero, what else is being shorted? How does one stop from this type of experience? Answer: Don't stay at this hotel. I will vouch for all the others I've stayed in, I've never had an issue. Chris and his attitude, lack of accountability, is a joke. Hampton Inn Oklahoma City, avoid it. Shame on whomever hired this guy. Look at my reviews on here, I give great ones to those who do a...
Read moreDON'T believe anything their call center/reservations center says! I just called the number given on Google maps and told the call taker of my circumstances: disabled, active service dog with me, 2 8 week old puppies with me who were already potty trained. She said she would call the front desk to make sure it would be okay. So here I sat, on hold while being overdue for this destination so I am in extreme pain and so tired I almost fell asleep while on hold, for her to come back and say it works out and there is a room available (king size) to check in immediately (7 am ish).I said that was great, thank you so much and let's get that one then. She took all of my info and booked the room then gave me the confirmation number. I walk in (very painful which is why I called ahead in the first place) and start getting checked in when I ask if the reservation mentions the puppies because I didn't want any problems. Front desk employee says they didn't mention that. I asked her if they called her because they said they did. She said yes but this would be much easier if I was just a walk in without reservations. She said she had to call her manager before she could let the puppies in. I said that would be no problem and to please mention that I already spoke with someone to get the reservation. The manager she called didn't work today so she had to call another manager who said it is not pet friendly and they all 3 are not service dogs. So they turned me away. I called the same number I called from Google and they didn't know who I spoke with but I had asked if there was any way they could still help me. Then they said the location I was at was not a pet friendly location. I asked why they didn't just say that when I called first instead of making me go through all that so they transfered me to another department (customer services or customer care?). That line looked for a pet friendly location but when she found one she wanted me to talk to the front desk and as soon as I started talking the woman hung up on me. Incredibly upset and hurting I bailed on the whole hotel thing. SO tired and...
Read moreWhile I typically don't write reviews, I wanted to share my experience at this hotel. I was in town for a family reunion over the weekend and requested turn-down service upon check-in, as I usually prefer it. However, when I called the front desk to request the service, I was informed that they may not be able to accommodate my request due to having only two housekeepers for 45 rooms checking out that day. They did not reassure me that they would add my room to the list or offer a discount for my inconvenience. The bathroom contains a sign that reads "complimentary housekeeping by request," which, in my experience, is not honored by this hotel. As a customer who has paid for certain amenities, I believe that if I cannot receive them all, I should be entitled to some form of compensation. Additionally, I had to switch rooms due to loud knocking sounds in the walls, which they attributed to the ice machine next to my original room. It appears that this hotel may be cutting corners by not hiring enough staff or properly maintaining their facilities. Furthermore, one of their elevators malfunctioned with a customer inside, requiring the fire department to intervene. This experience left us feeling uneasy about using the elevators. In addition, I would like to add that the hotel is in need of a complete renovation. Having stayed at other Hampton Inn hotels, this one seems outdated and behind the times. Furthermore, the beds were uncomfortable and felt cheap, which made for a disappointing night's sleep. Overall, the lack of upkeep and outdated amenities make this hotel an unsatisfactory choice for anyone seeking a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I cannot recommend this hotel and suggest considering other options for your stay. In my opinion, it was not...
