Woke up in the night, turned on a light and found the room was INFESTED with bedbugs. This appeared to be a clean, very nice room until then. There were bedbugs and bites on my children, my husband and I. A nice employee tried to relocate us to another room, but the hotel was nearly full. The room he took us to had hundreds of linens stacked on the beds for housekeeping. He left to figure out what to do while I frantically bathed my children. I found a live bedbug crawling on the carpet in that room, and a dead one in another location. The hotel moved us to another hotel next door, paid for that room, refunded our room cost and laundered some clothes we had just bought. We came with minimal things as we were sheltering from a storm after a day trip to OKC, but upon moving to the new hotel I found a bedbug on my toddler’s diaper bag and on me. When I spoke with hotel personnel this morning, I went over every room we stepped foot in to warn them they needed to be exterminated. The woman was a bit flippant about it. When I told her a bedbug was crawling on the carpet in that second room, she informed me bedbugs don’t crawl. Really?! Because I just learned all about bedbugs from my room being infested, and I have Googled nonstop how to keep from taking them home. They do crawl. Ridiculous. Right before we left she came to the car and wrote down all the room numbers we had been in, acting a tad more concerned. When I asked if they would do anything to help out if we somehow got home with a bedbug and had to pay to exterminate my home her response: “We gave you a free night didn’t we?!” A free night in an infested hotel is not doing me a favor. That is making something semi-right after you put us in an infested room. A room you are responsible for making sure is clean, exterminated and not spreading bedbugs to...
Read moreWe decided to stop off and drop off our trailer since check in wasn't till 2 pm. The guy at front desk was very rude and when we asked about joining rooms he said we don't have those. We came back later after 2 to check in and different guy was working he was nice and he said we have you an ajoining room. We head up to rooms they are hot no air on. We turn it on unpack our things and head to dinner with kids. Also they have laundry but it Closes at 4 pm,so no chance to get kids clothes cleaned.Come back kids room 727 still hot and ours 729 still really warm. Toilet in 729 had to hold handle down to get to flush. Tv in 727 would not change off of input and fridge was not working proper. With 7 kids 2 adults we were too tired to request another room and pack everything up,to much of a hassle. Went to bed was scratching all night and just woke up itchy. This morning we found a toe nail clipping under edge of bed. Needless to say packed up quickly this a.m. went to check out and he didn't bother to ask how...
Read moreI am absolutely appalled by the fact that I booked a room through Expedia because the ice storms and we didn't have tv or WiFi for the kids. I make it to the room to check in and was Informed that they did not have tv or WiFi so I asked for a refund. The lady that was at the front desk told me I had to request the refund from Expedia. I contact Expedia and got a email today advising me that my refund request was denied. My question is how do you hold me to terms of a contract when you were not held to the terms of the add which stated that you had WiFi and free cable tv. If a refund is not granted I am going to social media and also I will file a complaint with the BBB. I am sure since there where multiple people in the lobby that was being told the same thing I can find some of those people. All I want is my money back. This is insane!!! One angry mother. Times are to hard right now with me still not having electricity and now you have taken my money. Very...
