Country Inn — Hotel in Ontario

I stayed at the Country inn in Onterio Ca. I would not recommend it to anyone. Upon arrival i was asked to stay in a different room than the one i Booked, if i wanted the a different room i would have booked the other kind, she didnt say why she wanted to put me in it but im guessing from all the kids around and the ones playing football outfront in the parking lt they needed the one I booked, I overheard something about a soccer tournament or game. I took the smaller room just so i could get into it i just had driven 6.5 hrs in LA traffic. Was exspecting to hear the kids all nite because i did hear them in the hallway for awile but i didnt after about 10pm. The place is not a quility place in my opinion, there was alot of broken tiles on the floor in the lobby area and i also noticed quit a few in the at the elevator entrances. My room had a funky smell but not enough to try and hassel another room, i got use to it. There was multiple broken/cracked tile in the restroom as well, the scary part was the crack in the rimm of the toilet, as i sat i was crazy nervous that it was going to collapse and id get all cut up from it, could you imagine calling for help (if i could get to the phon) and have to have people come to me from the toilet collapse. The bed wasnt bad pretty comfortable i guess. Over all from the lobby then my room didnt have a good clean feeling. The breakfast the next morning was gross, water eggs and rubber sausage, should have opt for the dry cereal but didnt typical 2 star hotal breakfast. Was a little nervouse because all the parking in the front was full so parked in back and there was a several homeless people around so bit nervous from that. I real problem i had was there "policy" I had booked my stay for 4 nights for work though rewards on my credit card and paid for it, I got my work done early and was checking out 2 days early so the night before i left i asked about it and was told no problem they would refund it to my card but I had to do it through my card which i did and called them, The lady called the hotel to verify and the lady said no problem but had to do it through the hotal manager and had to call after i checked out. Exactly what I did but guess what NOW its not the policy to refund if i leave early, after i was told it was no problem. My credit card travel talked to the Manager and same thing, so now aftr i check out and they can rebook my room to somebody else and get the revenue twice because I left early and no refunds for me. DIRTY CROOKEDD & DISHONEST. The manager could have worked with me on it because i will be returning to area in a month but insteed wanted to be hard nose. So now they will loose the revenue from my next trip to area and the neg review here and other sites and all the pepole im in contact with in my travels and friends and family, They loose MUCH more than if the would have worked with me or just refunded they days I didnt use, VERY poor "Policy" and management, Ther are multiply other better scale Hotels in the immediate area that will get my future and friends business. I chose this establishment because of its proximity to the freeway (SR60), gas and the venue I would be going to. It’s very conveniently located in this regard as well as to a number of restaurants and service businesses. The area is light commercial/industrial.||||Upon arrival it was obvious the property is undergoing renovation/upgrading. Rooms were in various stages of progress. Check in was easy and the attending desk clerk was helpful in offering a discount (AARP) for my one-night stay. She seemed a bit dour but may well have been the noise coming from the roof replacement over the office. ||||After being in the room a few minutes, I noticed a puddle of water near the mini fridge in the room. I reported this to the front desk and the in-room fridge was promptly replaced. I was told a custodian type would come by but was helped by Karen, who seemed of some authority. In fact, she was all over the property doing various tasks – no ‘custodian’ in site. She was very helpful and friendly.||||My room (109) was clean and quite large; easily accommodating two queen beds. The LED bulbs were a bit harsh for my particular vision but illuminated the room very well. One bulb burned out over vanity was not missed. The king bed was neatly made and the mattress comfortable. While firm it was nicely padded. A selection of pillow firmness would be nice as all three on the bed were firm. Side sleeping was the only comfortable position with the pillows available. The stains on the top cover were off putting but the sheets were clean. The in-room ‘dinette’ table and two chairs appeared new. These were convenient albeit the chairs were too hard [for me] for any long period of sitting.||||The bathroom had a funky odor – like mold and cleaner mixed – but was otherwise clean. I rehung the shower curtain as it was improperly hung and slung over the rod. This is a minor notation. The property is older and that age is evident in the rooms, although adequately maintained. A crack in the shower stall enclosure prompted a quick shower. The ironing board, iron, hair dryer and in-room coffee maker are welcome touches. I found the coffee quite good. Toilette amenities are good for perhaps 3-4 uses. The large mirror on the bathroom door is also a nice amenity.||||I do recommend booking through an online app such as Travelocity for a better rate. I was given no other discount because of a Friday check-in and single night, even though the establishment was obviously not booked full (less than a dozen cars in parking lot). The rooms needs improvement an👉 UPGRADE Starting with a major fumigation on the hole damn place do to its infestations of "BEDBUGS" in every room.The hotel manager Sandy been hiding the bedbug problem and bad plumbing for so long with out fixing it properly it's gotten way out of control . it's only just a matter of time before China Airlines airplane corporates who houses thier planes passengers from china at the Country Inn & Suites located at 2359 S. Grove Ave Ontario CA. Planes will become infested with bedbugs being brought aboard by returning visiting Japanese tourest staying at the Country Inn on their return flights back to China . Important for China Airlines to know that on several occasions China Airlines passingers corporates housed at Country Inn went with out water and hot shower because of Country Inn & Suites bad plumbing do to cheap repairs being done by unlicensed unqualified hotel mantanince man and front desk clerks unemployed husband that is an unlicensed contractor hierd by hotel manager to repair water damaged rooms caused by muiltiple water leaks in many hotel rooms ciellings .Was even heird to replace a twice collapsed cielling in rooms 211-235. Manager (Sandy) also is responsible for China's hotel guest to bare witness an attempted murder by stabbing attack on another hotel guest by choosing to echnor a public pre-argument between a registered guest of the hotel and a woman WHOM was NOT regesterd guest staying at the hotel before the stabbing accrued. Between the water problems, the Crime and Bedbug infestations prove to be to much . I strongly requested to speak with the owners of the hotel. When the maneger (Sandy) refused my request even refusing to give me owners names or email address. I threatened her with a lawsuit if she doesn't make things right. She gave us a $100 dollar bill from the front desk register to pay for a hotel room for one night at a MOTEL 6 while they have a professional exterminate our room 216 for bedbugs. While gone she hierd an other guest a non employee of Country Inn & guest who is an ex gang member with a felony record cleaning hotel guest room's in order to pay for his over due $1000+ hotel bill to move our personal property out of our room.learning our return the next day we were not allowed back and our property was in an unsecured unlocked portable storage unit behind the hotel and no professional exterminator was ever hired to spray the bedbug infested rooms.
