My room was leaking water and the man at the front desk told me that's fine. Do you need a towel for the window? No apology, no concern. Didn't care about the amount coming in or even want to check. Told me it is normal for the hotel. Didn't even want to change me tooms then when I asked he said the other two were dirty I could talk to someone in the morning. Victor shared it was common, I've lived in Florida all my life I've never seen a window leak unless improperly maintained or from flooding. Victor also shared I could put a towel down. He also shared that the hotel knows the windows leak. Then why did no one warn guests? Instead my luggage and now shoes/bag are soaked. Absolutely livid.
Since manager updated I felt I should too. The leaking vegan prior to the hurricane bands. It also came from near the window sealing it was built up on track, it was not from ac( if ac is leaking/broke then that was in addition too). There were also quite a few rooms impacted. Kelly did indeed allow my small Persian and two teacup Chihuahuas which I was greatful for and told corporate but how does this impact my actual stay? The Hampton inn itself did not offer to refund my stay and actually victor at front desk told me it was normal and my stay was not refundable I could stay in the room or leave without a refund, but since it was a storm coming I should just go back. My phone call to corporate offered more options and empathy as they were the first to apologize, no on at the actual Hampton inn did. Even the next morning I was meant with rudeness and a warning to be out prior to 11 or no refund for either day would be issued. I will not allow the follow up post to allow the hotel to appear benevolent or empathetic as the only person who was, was on a phone with me from 100s of miles away. Kelly was not in office when I arrived(she had alrdy left), the night of concern, or the day I checked out... She may very well have rectified, however since her response post leans to justification and validation of her employees rather than just being accountable and apologetic I will lean towards it wouldn't. Also my entire stay was not refunded only partial, which I believe the response said entire. Businesses which always are defensive and easily spew justifications rather than just actively listen and be empathetic make me leary. Good luck to them in the future their response does not give me confidence in using them...
Read moreIf I could give this hotel a score less than 1 i would do it in a heartbeat. After a full day at the parks, that only thing you want to do for the night is to check into a clean hotel, take a hot shower, and relax for the rest of the night. Unfortunately, this did not happen for me and my family at this hotel. For as long as I can remember I have only booked and stayed at Hampton Inns when visiting Orlando. So this trip was no different. After spending the day at the parks, we checked into the hotel through the app and went to our rooms. The kids rooms we're noticicably damp, moist, and smelled something; leading us to see the dark black spots in the ceiling that resembled black mold 😖. We have family members who have asthma, diabetes, and other underlying health problems, and the state of these rooms are not conducive to our health and well being. The toilets didn't flush properly, the bed linens didn't look, smell or feel clean, and there was a bathroom towel still damp like it was left from the previous room users. In the other room, there were visible huge and long dangling spider webs from ceiling lights, the toilet didn't flush properly, and the a/C had a mind of its own. After contacting the attendant on duty James, I can say he was really professional and tried his best to move us to different rooms but said the hotel was fully booked. We were supposed to spend 3 nights at this hotel but it was rough to even spend an hour. James took pictures and told us he would report it his managers and they would contact us about the night. We immediately checked out the next morning, after moving the kids to the least harmful room for the night. I have never been more disappointed in the condition of a Hampton Inn in my life. I would not recommend anyone stay here until the hotel and all the problems I've listed above are addressed and properly taken care of. After reading other reviews of this hotel I see a similar pattern of complaints in the past couple of months and I wish I would have read them before booking. I am still waiting to hear...
Read moreWORST GUEST EXPERIENCE checking out. On 7/24/24 I was due to check out but I woke up late. Housekeeping knocked around 11:15 and I told them I needed a few minutes to get my things together and leave quickly. Housekeeping responded with "take your time". I got my things ready to leave used the restroom to brush my teeth and what not, and found the water had been TURNED OFF! So I could not brush my teeth or flush the toilet. I got my things and left the hotel only to see a notification that the hotel charged me $75, on top of the amount I prepaid for room plus taxes. I called and spoke to the front desk and was informed that I was charged a smoking fee. I DO NOT SMOKE INSIDE MY OWN HOME, let alone a hotel room where I know people can be allergic. I asked to speak to a manager and she told me that housekeeping smelled smoke, which is absolutely a lie, as I never smoked in the guest room or any interior space of the hotel, nor did I smoke in the hotel parking lot. The manager was not willing to help me, or have an understanding that peharps their guests that smoke may have a lingering scent on their clothes. It was absolutely non-negotiable, as she stated housekeeping gets to make the decision to charge guests. So not only is housekeeping the final say, but the manager had no desire to offer me any actual customer service or remove the smoking fee. There is no evidence that I smoked in the room, as I never smoked in the room, which should be the only reason guests are charged for a smoking fee. The hotel is not customer centric and appears to want to charge guests without probable cause and evidence. Even knowing I had issues with no water in the day of check out. I would never stay here again and advise against staying here. This matter will be escalated to Hilton, as I am a Hilton...
