I came in with a group of six people to eat after a late night work event. I do understand that the restaurant was understaff and the server asked us to be patient with them. We were sat immediately and then took our orders 10 minutes later. I was the first place my order in our group. As we were waiting for our food more groups came in, order after us, and received their food. After waiting for over an hour without any one checking on us or even offering us refills, everyone at our table finally received their food, except for me. I wasn’t going to say anything and just suffer in silence, but the server asked if everyone was happy and another person in our group told him I was still waiting for my food. The server asked me what did I order and I repeated my order to him. Five minutes later, the server comes back to me with his notepad to ask me what did I order. When I saw his notepad, I saw that he did not even write my order down. At that point, I just told him don’t even worry about it. he asked if I was sure and told me OK. There was no apology. No way of trying to figure out what he can do to fix it or any explanation just OK. This kind of guest service is something you do not normally receive at IHOP and I was very disappointed to leave out of the restaurant, hungry and upset that I was not afforded the same opportunity or even respected enough to get an explanation on how this could happen and not even an apology. Read moreWaited 25 minutes at 3 A.M. just to flag a server down who told us our server would be right there. We waited another 10-15 minutes before "our server" came to get our drink order. He took our entire order at that point, but he didn't really know the menu and one order came out wrong. It was fixed pretty quickly though. We had a party of 4 and the guy couldn't remember our drink order. I got the impression that this guy wasn't actually a server. I think he was like a busser or something. He was very nice, but he didn't know the menu very well and the 40+ min we waited for anyone to even come to us was ridiculous. I'm more annoyed with the server we had to wave down that basically ran away from our table. I'm a server too, and if I see a table hasn't been greeted because my coworker is busy I will at least say hello and get the table drinks, or if I'm too busy I'll ask someone to help me out in the same way. Like there were maybe 4 tables in the whole place. They had a good runner and a busser so there really is no reason to ignore us for so long. The food was good, and the server was quick to get our checks when we asked and he split them properly. Tipped him 20% because like I said, he was kind just a little confused. The bad service rating is really based on the other server and his rude comments and lack of concern. He was probably trying to go home, and I get that, but that's no excuse to just stop doing your job and treating guests...
Read moreAbsolutely awful. Waited 30 minutes to get seated (there was only 2 tracks seated at this point). Then waited another 30 minutes for someone to get a drink order. Then another 30 minutes for someone to take a food order. Other people were being seated (parties of 2-4) and being helped. We waited almost an hour to get out our food. My son ordered their fajitas and it was gross. The steak was dry, I ordered the equivalent of a country omelet (which isn't on the menu anymore btw) and it was incorrect. The chicken strips that my daughter got were dry and overcooked. The manager Robert was not pleasant at all. Never apologized for all the things that went wrong. We had to ASK for refills on drinks multiple times. And when we walked out, Robert (manager) just said ok bye to us. Never apologized for any of this mess of a meal or anything. The franchise owner or corporate would not appreciate the poorly run IHOP that this is. They only had 1 server on staff and one in training. Absolutely the worst meal we've ever had at IHOP and the worst service we've received. Not happy and it's 3 hours of our life we'll never get back. We normally have great meals at IHOP but this was horrible. If we had another choice, do not go here, but at 11 pm, our choices were limited. Just don't expect a good meal or service at...
