Read moreMy family and I stayed there yesterday and checked out today.. This was by far the worst experience I have ever encountered before in my life… There treated us like trash to the point I called corporate and told them if they don’t was African American (Black)people at there hotel they need to put a sign up or tag they website for that. Mind you all we had a total of five rooms booked.. The front desk person yesterday was rude charged my sister 5 times individually for each room.. This never happens before usually when you book more then one room they charge your card once but this was not the case here at Best western.. He was rude and told a bunch of lies. So we called corporate to see what we could do because our reservations was messed changed. We said we would like to get a 6th room the guy told us they was booked and we couldn’t.. I asked them how is that so because we can go online now and book a room. So I was able to book a room online instead of just going through the front desk.. The guy today BEN was rude and disrespectful had the house keepers just walking in the rooms and he was banging on the door like the police saying you guys have to get out and go now, Stating you only have 5 mins that’s all I’m giving you period…. When we was gone I checked my account and noticed that my card was charged twice I called and BEN at the front wanted my room number I states well I’m not to sure but I then said the number and tried to give him the confirmation number he then stated o yes you are not welcomed back to our facility an d banned I asked him what are you taking about he then states because that room smelled like smoke mind you he never said anything to me i checked all my rooms that we had nothing was wrong with our rooms and also told me not to call them again and that they call it harassment and to have a good day and hung up on me.. My lawyer with be in touch.. Rate this place a...
Read moreI booked a room at this hotel on a trip to Chicago with some friends in January. Prior to booking, I thoroughly checked the website for anything indicating that the minimum check-in age would be higher than 18 - that seems like the kind of thing you'd want to have listed somewhere so you aren't stranding children. I came up short (it isn't listed), and using the Hudson, WI Best Western (incredible hotel I stayed at a couple months prior) as reference, I figured it'd be alright for me to book a room. Upon arriving at this motel-esque "hotel" in the sketchiest industrial park I have ever seen, I had the pleasure of being told "the check-in age is 21, you're on your own". The guy at the front desk assured me I'd receive a refund for the room eventually, which is definitely what 19-year-old me was worried about six hours from home without a place to stay. Props to this guy for not even making the slightest effort to help me find another hotel to stay at, real top-notch worker. A quick Google search led me to the Embassy Suites in Naperville, which has a minimum check-in age of 18, staff that make you feel at home, and rooms that do the same. I did get my money back eventually, so at least there's that.
Edit for Owner: After reading similar reviews and seeing your other responses, I already expected a cocky "I'm right, you're wrong" response. But to have the audacity to act like I'm supposed to be grateful to receive my money back for a service I never received just because "your cancellation policy did not require it" is absolutely deplorable. You have your own policy section on the website for this specific hotel, it should be listed there. Maybe if you actually listened to your never-again customers, I wouldn't have had to add onto the pile of other reviews that say the same...
