Number 1 China — Restaurant in Oswego Township

Giving only 1 stars for bad experience today and they’ve lost a 15 year customer. Worse, I think the resold the food we were forced to return.

I picked up a call in order, was almost back to work and they called to say I picked up the wrong order. Reality I was GIVEN the wrong order. Their cashier ACCUSED ME of giving the wrong phone number at pick up (?!) and the manager/owner backed her up!! I’ve waitressed, bartended and worked in many restaurants. I’m no “Karen” and understand mistakes happen - BUT never would I accuse a customer for my own screw up. (Reality, their cashier accidentally grabbed the wrong bag, one with exact same total as mine because lunch specials are almost all the same price!) I explained I used my break for pick up so can’t return today, can they instead come swap out for the correct order (since they have delivery)? They could not and advised i could return immediately or keep the 3 lunches I took ( no option to return them cold after work for credit or swap out what I had actually ordered).Worse, to prevent a $30 lunch purchase argument later for food we didn’t order - i did return to swap out and I’m damn certain they delivered the (now luke warm at best) 3 x beef and broccoli lunches (that we’re with me in my car/office) off to the customer who actually ordered - and during COVID. Otherwise why would they be so insistent I return immediately or keep them? All this with COVID restrictions everywhere else. Yuck. Will not be back and I’ve been a customer for at...

The Food- I ordered General Taos, Combo Fried Rice, Teriyaki Beef Sticks. -The General Taos chicken lacked so much flavor, the sauce was very watery (needs cornstarch) and just wasn’t flavorful, however it was crispy which I like. -The Combo Fried rice was okay. It also lacked some flavor and I was disappointed that it had no egg. So I put it in a pan and threw a 2 eggs in it. There was a lot of shrimp in it which was good! Hopefully it was fresh, it tasted fine though. The Teriyaki Beef Sticks appetizer was okay, they were kinda cold and the beef was chewy.

Over all the food LOOKED good but it was mediocre. I wish I could say different, I went in with the expectation it was gonna be bad and it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great. I can’t say I will order again. HOWEVER, you should give them a try.

The Inside- I have lived in Montgomery/Oswego for 15 years and years ago I remember this place being looking disgusting on the outside and inside but after ordering tonight I walked inside and it looked very good and clean. Hello all I wanted to share this information with you. On Friday dec 4th I called in an order for c-14 which is boneless ribs with chicken fried rice, I get there and pick up my order, I get home sit down and start to eat i notice that the ribs are really a bright red not red from the sauce and they are not cooked all the way through. So I call to let them know that they are going to get somebody sick I just happen to get someone who identified himself as the cook who told me that either they had be cooked not quite all the way or over cooked. Now I have had these ribs many times as I explained and they were fine.
