No one ever cleaned our room in 5 days, the floors was dirty when we arrived. No one ever picked up trash or changed beds or brought towels or toilet paper! The pull out bed had dirty sheets on it when we arrived. Both of the beds where awful the mattress was unbearable. Our door had literally a whole all the way through door bigger than actual peep hole. It made us very uncomfortable not safe at all. The room right beside us was like that also. Our room was booked for handicap asabilty and wasn't at all. Not enough parking at all muchless handicap parking. There was 3 women that needed the handicap room badly for shower and to be able to move around without chancing falling or beating our legs, arm or falling in there. We spoke to the office about the room n8 just said she was sorry. BUT NEVER TRIED TO MAKE IT RIGHT FOR US.AND THE KEYS WAS HAVING TO BE REDONE TWICE A DAY. AND OUR ROOM WAS ON THE 7TH FLOOR SO THATS DEFINITELY NOT HANDICAP ROOM..THERE'S ONLY 8 FLOORS TO THE WHOLE MOTEL..PLUS MADE US PUT ON A CREDIT CARD 300.00 DEPOSIT IN CASE THERE WAS ANY Damages. But was not informed of this what so ever when reservation where made 6 months ago. And the other family that was with us that had a separate room was not charge that much deposit as us and had more people in there room. And we believe they got what was the room for disabled persons and no one was disabled in there group. And the Wi-Fi was terrible it went in and out..WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN REFUNDED SOME OF OUR MONEY BACK IF NOT ALL OF IT! THE HOLE IN THE DOOR THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ALOT SMALLER WITH GLASS IN IT, JUST ITSELF WAS A DANGEROUS SITUATION, BC IF SOMEONE WOULD HAVE KNOCKED ON THE DOOR AND YOU HADN'T NOTICED THE SIZE OF IT, WITH NO GLASS IN IT ANYONE COULD'VE PUSHED A OBJECT right through your put your eye out,or be blind the rest of your life. Or even worse could kill you if it went in your on through to your brain and that's very much possible..so this was supposed to be a vacation to take stress and problems away. But we paid to come back in pain. With no kind of anyone trying to make it right with a paying customers. We've traveled 9 hrs back home with our backs ,arms and legs killing us. Didn't get to go out and enjoy Panama City Bc of pain we was feeling. We talk to the front desk clerk several times, she wasn't interested in what we had to say so where going to our governor and our sentor of our state, then to our attorneys and see what we can do about this situation. We saved hard a long for this trip, that nobody wanted to be the least bit interested in all our problems that we tried to address with the front clerk more than one time. And also think our local news and Panama City's news and newspapers need to know this how tourists are treated that brings money into your state! IT'S NOT RIGHT TO BE TREAT LIKE THIS MUCHLESS TO STAY IN FILTH AND IN A DANGEROUS SITUATION, IF WE COULDN'T HAVE BEEN ACCOMDATED THEN YOU GUYS SHOULDN'T HAVE BOOKED US OR TOOK OUR MONEY! AND PUT US IN A PHYSICAL DANGEROUS SITUATION! WE'VE took pics when we arrived there with all our problems and our concerns that we did try to address! Several times we had to walk down to that office for everything including toilet paper that would only give 1 roll away for 3 grown women, no trash bags, no soap even though we brought our soap that still is supposed to be furnished. And across we couldn't call the office bc there's no phone in the rooms. So what if someone was having a heartattack or a fire! Not everyone carries cell phones especially if there trying to relax and get away from stress. Especially if someone was having a stroke every second counts! And that's alot of time to get to the office especially waiting on the elevators! This whole week that was spent there was unexceptable, and NASTY, DANGEROUS AND COSTLY, NEVEREVER SEEN ANYONE THAT DIDN'T OFFER TO CALL MANGEMENT, OR OWNER'S TO TRY TO MAKE IT THE BEST STAY THAT COULD'VE EXPERIENCED! INSTEAD OF WHERE WE AT NOW, I'M USUALLY A UNDERSTANDING PERSON, BUT WITH THE NO CONCERN AT ALL! THIS...

Edited to include a response to the business’ response. When I was checking out, I heard a white lady with blonde hair and either a black or Hispanic/latino guy ‘loudly’ discussing my exact review, saying I was a liar and this was not true. Ha, what a joke. Everything I stated was 100% true. There WAS algae in the pool. I should have taken a picture but I was not trying to make a scene by taking my phone in the pool. The only reason I took it this far was because the please was a real let down and the comments loudly made were not true.

This place is an absolute disgusting dump. The room was extremely dirty, gross and borderline scary. There was dirt and trash all over the floors, everything was stained and beaten up. I’m 99% positive that 2 of the pillows on one bed were from the last guests that stayed in the room. Hairs all over the bathroom-In sink, on and in the toilet, in the tub, on the floors. The shower curtain was so nasty it was stuck together. Toothpaste splatter all over the bathroom mirror. Weird stains on walls, ceiling, floors.

You better keep your shoes on at all times! Even in the shower! Mold stain on the bathroom ceiling. The stove top was dirty, the coffee maker was broken, the refrigerator barely cooled and screamed loudly while it leaked water literally all over the floor. There were hairs in the kitchen sink as well.

The couch was stained and nasty. We didn’t even attempt to sit on it or touch it. So I’m not sure how the bed was in it. I do know that the two full beds we had were hard as a rock and lumpy. We had a lady approach us out of no where telling us they had bedbugs.

Paint was overlayed on everything. Literally everything! The table and chairs were all beat up. The balcony chairs were not the same nice chairs they advertised on the site. One chair was covered in something grey and got all over our clothes.

NOTHING in the pictures on the site were accurate. There was trash piled up at all the trash cans on each floor and outside numerous rooms, for days. Only one elevator worked. No ventilation and smelt like trash most of the time. There was only one roll of toilet paper in our room and I guess it was dropped in the toilet with vomit because it had something red on it and was soaking wet. No soap or toiletries provided, although the site stated they were. I wouldn’t have used anyway but false advertising to say it would be included. No tissues. One of the curtains was too small and didn’t cover the entire window. There was a random wire connected to the floor in a bundle.

The cooking items were all disgusting and we didn’t touch a thing, which sucked because we had planned on cooking some during our stay. The drawers in the “kitchen” were so dirty and disgusting.

Only one AC unit worked properly, but it was in the back room and not near the beds, so we were hot during the night.

The pool was ok but saw algae on the walls. The view was great but of course I could have gotten that at any other beach front hotel down the road.

Parking sucked. The smoking section that you walked through to pool from the parking lot on one side was full of trash and random broken items they were replacing. All the AC units were leaking and puddling in the walkways and dripping on you as you walked by underneath them on walkways and through breezeways.

Just a trashy, dirty, nasty, disgusting dump and I would NEVER consider staying here again and never recommend it. I wish I read more reviews before I spent waaaay too much money on this place.

We’re from GA so the gulf is our top beach choice. This is by far the nastiest hotel we have ever stayed in, that was portrayed as being decent. I’m not sure how the folks live that say it was nice, but it definitely is not even close. If anyone I know says they are coming down to PCB, I’ll be sure to warn them of this...

My daughter booked with Beachcomber Hotel from 7/10 thru 7/15 2023. Upon arriving & checking in, they charged my daughter more than what she was initially told what her total price would be. Then was given room # 702. When walking into the room it had a musky smell, toilet didn’t flush ( water just went around & around in circles) mold/mildew in bathroom along with several holes along the baseboards, telephone didn’t work properly (Would disconnect on you) carpet old & dingy, rust on the stove etc.. View of Ocean was nice and great working AC. However; called down to front office on a malfunctioning telephone that kept disconnecting to inform the front desk receptionist all the problems and that we need to be moved and she began to initially say that there were no other rooms available because the Housekeepers have not gotten any other rooms clean and they have already left for the day, so on & so on. My response was: How is that possible when our initial check-in time wasn’t until 4pm and it’s just now a little before 3, so I know the Housekeepers are still here for another hr. plus I still see them on the premises. Receptionist then put me hold, a few mins later a male name Evar, Edgar Something like that got on the phone after getting disconnected several times on the malfunctioning phone said he was the manager and that he had another room available Room # 410. Evar/Edgar allow us to review the room before making a decision of excepting the room. I did not check every single little thing,,,(my fault) but I did check toilet & phone (as that were the 2 main things I noticed that didn’t work in room #702) and both worked as they should. However; I did not check Hot water in shower as we wasn’t taking a shower at the moment as we were still trying to get situated in a decent room & also didn’t check to see if the stove worked as we wasn’t cooking anything yet ( still trying to get situated) but later on that evening we realized that there was No Hot Water (Only extremely mild luke warm water as if you were giving a Newborn Baby a bath) then go to cook a pizza 🍕 to realize the stove didn’t work. Once again my fault for not checking every single functional thing. Didn’t cross my mind to do a complete inspection as if I’m buying a house. However; the replacement room # 410 idid not have the musky smell like room # 702 did. Ocean view was still great and still good working AC. Parking is another thing. Extremely small parking lot and if there’s no available parking spaces where the actual elevators are to the hotel rooms, then you have to park across the street then walk over 2 lanes of traffic then through construction work on each side of road, Which can be an inconvenience especially for elderly and for ppl with walking issues with walkers/wheelchairs just to get back to the Only Elevators that takes you to your room. No cross walk/bridge to avoid traffic & construction work area. ( Major inconvenience) I guess the only good thing about Beachcomber Hotel in my opinion is that it’s on the Beach. Most rooms have a good Ocean view ( Not all) and ppl seemed to really like & enjoy the pool & hot tub. The 2 rooms I personally experience are in need of major repairs & makeover.! For what Beachcomber Hotel charged my daughter for 5 days, Me personally, I would have never paid what my daughter did to stay there, nor would I ever book with Beachcomber Hotel. Im pretty sure could’ve found another Hotel down on front beach road for the same price that my daughter paid, in way better condition with more accommodating parking. Trust me, the pretty pics that ppl seen online of Beachcomber Hotel is apparently Old Photos because the rooms looks nothing like the online photos in person.! However; everyone has their own opinion, and this is mine of what I...

God where do I start. This place is a DUMP. You’re probably reading all of the bad reviews and thinking to yourself “it’s probably not that bad”. Well let me tell you, it absolutely IS THAT BAD. I’m not picky. I don’t care about the newest stuff or the fanciest hotel. I’m there for the beach, right? All I wanted was a CLEAN place to lay my head at night and to take a shower. This place even failed to deliver that. The day we got there, they originally told us we could check in at 3, so we spend a few hours on the beach and when it’s time for us to check in they then tell us we can’t check in until 4. No big deal, we just went back out on the beach until then. 4 o’clock rolls around and they then tell us they’re not sure they have a room for us that’s ready and that we’ll have to wait even longer. At this point we just want to take a shower and go eat, so we’re a little irritated, but it’s fine. It was only maybe 10 minutes before they had our room ready after that. We were relieved, until we got to the dumpster that was supposedly “our room”. Walking in the room smelled like mold and sewage. The ceiling in our room looked like it was moldy but they had painted over it therefor the ceiling was literally chipping off and falling onto the floor. Who wants ceiling chipping off on them while they’re asleep? Black mold all over the ceiling and walls. Unknown white stains all over the curtains. Floor (carpet) was disgusting. There was a huge blob of BROWN stuff on the headboard, that I could only imagine to be literal feces… the door to the balcony wouldn’t even close. I got in the shower & the drains were so clogged up I had to stand in 2ft of water. The water wasn’t even hot. It was hardly even lukewarm. So we decided we were NOT staying in that room and the people at the front desk were very helpful and nice and got us moved to a new room. This new room wasn’t bad, it was kinda cleaner than the previous room, so we gave it a go. We were content.(We settled) We slept there for ONE night. The next night im getting ready for bed and my boyfriend sees a ROACH crawling all over the headboard. Then here comes two more roaches. Crawling all over this room. I immediately said I was not staying in that place anymore, it’s nasty and I’d rather sleep in the truck. We ended up going to the Hampton inn which was everything I could’ve asked for and more. Bottom line is, this place needs burned to the ground. It’s gross. It’s got roaches.. probably soon to have bed bugs. Black mold all over the rooms. It gives a bad vibe overall. Please reconsider booking this place. It is not worth the headache and diseases you will more than likely contract staying here just because it’s a cheaper option. We learned our lesson big time!! Sleeping on the beach all night long is a cleaner option honestly than sleeping in that place of filth.

BEDBUGS! (Thanksgiving week) We left the same night we found the bugs and were told we would be contacted by a manager the next day and never were contacted. We were charged full price even though we were told we wouldn’t be because we only stayed 2/7 nights. We were told by the front desk we would be reimbursed the rest of the nights. We never were.. We brought four bedbugs down in a cup to the front desk and I showed her the bites I had on my arm. I had more than that by the way. She did not act surprised and told us it was because of the construction and they closed off the top floor so the bedbugs must have been making there way down the building. If that was the case, then the whole place is filled with bedbugs. She offered another room but we declined because I wasn’t going to stay somewhere that has bedbugs, so she then offered us a room at a partner hotel for the same price. We agreed to that and started packing our things. Then when my husband went down to the front desk she said that was no longer an option and we couldn’t go to the partnered hotel because they wouldn’t accept a guest who stayed in a room where bugs were found. We were feeling itchy before we had found the bugs, but just figured they were mosquito bites. We were wrong.. We couldn’t be immediately reimbursed or accommodated in a clean alternate hotel so we were in our car at 12AM with all of our stuff, including groceries, and nowhere to go. The way this was handled was aweful. We had to find a different place in the middle of the night and pay much more than anticipated on top of being charged the full price of this stay at Beachcomber. This made for such a stressful part of our vacation. Thankfully we found somewhere last minute that had a washer and dryer and we were up until 3AM cleaning all of our clothes in hot water, including the clean ones, just to make sure we didn’t bring any bugs with us. Being charged full price from Beachcomber and never being contacted after this when they said they would was the worst part of the whole experience. We had to make a claim through our credit card company because we were charged for services we did not receive. Thankfully our credit card company is taking care of this. It was a shame because the view from the room was beautiful. Sure it’s an older building, but old doesn’t have to mean dirty. I have videos of me finding the bugs but I think I can only post pictures here. Stay at your own risk..
