Aquavista Condominiums — Local services in Panama City Beach

Arrived at Aqua vista Resort, unit 206W on 7/29/18 for my family's vacation.  When I entered the condo, I immediately noticed that the sliding glass doors were very filthy, as well as the windows, and the floors were nasty.  As we continued to bring our belongings in to unpack, we started noticing a lot of areas that were really nasty and had been neglected for a long time to be that nasty.  The ceiling fans were corroded with black dust.  The luvered door on the utility closet in the kitchen also had black dust all over the luvered parts of the door.  There was a box fan in a closet that was corroded with back dust.  The vacuum cleaner was stored in a closet with dirt compacted in the cup.  The carpets had not been vacuumed.  The bathrooms were not clean, bathtubs, toilets, sinks & even mirrors.  Even the shower curtains smelled like mildew.  When we pulled the covers back on the beds, there was grit-trash on the sheets, the mattress cover had what appeared to be urine rings all over them.  They had not been washed for some time.  Then there was the kitchen.....dishes were put in the cabinets with food left on them.  The toaster and the toaster oven were nasty with crumbs and finger prints all over them.  The sink was really nasty with build up all over it.  Some of the vertical blind blades were continuously falling if you tried to open or close them.  The locks on the sliding glass doors did not work and there was 1 wooden stick to put behind one of the doors to secure it.  Storms came thru on the last couple of days of our vacation with a lot of heavy rain, the living room flooded due to water coming in from the exterior walls.  I will never stay at this resort again!!!!!!  Yes, I did contact Pan Handle Getaways upon arrival regarding these issues.  A lady came out immediately and cleaned the bathrooms and swept/mopped the floors.  She also brought clean sheets for us to make our own beds.  She stated that they would send someone out the next morning to do a more through cleaning, but that never happened.  After repeated messages left, no one ever returned my call. I do have pictures of all the filth but can not post to this site for some reason!!!!! I am in the process of getting the owner's contact info to inform them of how awful their property is being treated! The home owners association of this facility is certainly not doing...

We arrived at Aquavista Condo on 6/12/14 late in the evening therefore; we left a message for someone to contact us on Monday, 6/14. By 1:30 pm we decided to go to the front office to speak with someone because no one had returned our call. We discussed with the lady working about how filthy dirty our condo was upon arrival. She assured us that she would contact the head of housekeeping and that it would be taken care of as soon as possible. By Wednesday, 6/16 12:00 pm we still did not hear from anyone nor was our condo cleaned.

Wednesday, we decided to call the number that was provide for any concerns that we might have during our stay. While trying to explain to the lady about the many things that were unacceptable for $1400/week, she told us that our condo had been inspected by two people and it was clean. She was sorry that, "It didn't meant our expectations and to have a nice day."

We had four other couples staying in the same condominium complex and their condo was very clean and well taken care of because they rented from an actual OWNER of the condo NOT from Aquavista -- Gulf View Property.

NO ONE EVER came to our condo while we were there to actually see the problems that we were upset about! Therefore, I am going to list everything that was disgusting when we arrived and I have pictures to prove what we are saying is true but this site will not let me post them.

This is by far the worst place to stay so BEWARE -- DO NOT RENT FROM AQUAVISTA -- GULF VIEW PROPERTY unless you are renting from an actual owner of a certain condo!!! I am shocked that we did not see any roaches or ants while staying in this condo!

*Kitchen floor was dirty and we even slipped when we arrived *kitchen counters had salt or something all over it and had to be cleaned. *Had to wash ALL towels (5), washcloths (3), & bedding because they were either dirty (with nasal discharge on some), or stained, or smelled soured when we arrived! *There was mold and hair in our master bathroom - we showered with flip-flops on *The toilets were dirty in bowl and dried urine was on the floor portion as well *The second shower is molding from under the faucet. *Our balcony was dirty with food on the ground from past guest (I guest) *Ceiling fan has probably never been...

We vacation in different parts of the country multiple times a year and I usually don't write a review unless the experience is very good or very bad and unfortunately this time it was very bad.

We stayed at Aqua Vista unit number 402E for 6 nights. Whoever is managing this unit is doing a horrible job because you cannot get hold of anybody. When we checked in, we could not find the Wi-Fi name and password which was supposed to be on the kitchen wall per their check in instructions and the regular coffee machine was not there. After two days and multiple failed attempts trying to reach these people by calling, texting and emailing them, I finally gave up and contacted booking.com which is the company I used to book this place. Booking.com representative was very nice and professional and I was on hold with them for about 20 minutes until they contacted the property management and got us the Wi-Fi info. We never heard back about the coffee machine or the status of the extra bed we had requested when we booked this place.

Stay away from this place if you don't want to waste half of your vacation time trying to reach someone to resolve a simple issue. Not to mention that this whole unit is very outdated and needs a full renovation. Drop down ceilings in the kitchen, hallway and both bathrooms are all rusted and have stains on them.
