I can't even begin to describe the lack of disappointment with this property and my stay here at this hotel. We booked via Expedia which had shown much nicer photos which had encouraged to choose and book this hotel, only to pull up after a long roadtrip and be hugely disappointed. First of all, the property itself turned out to be similar to a Motel 6. We first went to check in which was through a very tiny 3×5 foot window that says "Night Window" even though we arrived at 11 AM. Their hotel registration lobby was completely wrapped off with CAUTION tape which should have been a sign to leave. We continued to check in via this "Night Window" which was being employed by someone who spoke little to no English. After check in, we proceed to our room to settle in and take a shower. After opening our door we see what again is similar to a Motel 6 which did not appear that was in the original booking images. We go to put our belongings down and take a shower. As one of my friends goes to enter the shower we discover the stains below in the images on several of the towels. They resemble stains of number 2 fecal matter with skid marks on one of the towels. This had us extremely repulsed. We went to ask for new towels which they did not see happy providing and those towels have hairs all over them!!! After this, we decided we would go to Target about a half mile away to purchase our own towels just to take a shower. Can you imagine this!?! Having to purchase towels on a road trip when you visit a hotel because their "fresh bath-towels" have fecal matter stains on them?? This hotel should definitely be shut down, investigated, before people get sick from staying here. Also, in the photos below is a picture of the headboard which has "Snot" on it! I've never had an experience like this staying at dozens of hotel/motel's in my time. There was also no speaking to any hotel staff about these issues since no one spoke English. Moral of the story : DO NOT STAY HERE - save your time, money, stress and health. This hotel should be investigated by the health department and closed down.

Sept 13, 2025 This is our 3rd stay @ Howard Johnsons. The hotel obviously serves a purpose, otherwise, we wouldn't have come back to stay a third time. Still clean rooms, still everything fro. the prior review. I just can't rate higher than a 3, just because of what it is and where it is, but it certainly serves its purpose, and we'll likely be back, so that says a lot. July 26, 2025 Despite its area, this Howard Johnson location is a nice hotel overall. What I mean by location is that it is in a dense area of east of Los Angeles, which sometimes has certain individuals that, well, you don't want to be around. The hotel itself and the rooms are pretty decent. They have obviously done a remodel and paid attention to the detail as much as possible. Some of the drawbacks were the broken ice machine, certain individuals hanging around outside, and what appeared to be blood spatter patterns in the bathroom, which was a little unnerving. They had breakfast, but it was a minimal assortment of pastries and bread with coffee and juice, which is better than nothing, I guess. We could possibly stay there since the price was right and we know what to expect. If you do visit, make sure you have your pepper spray and some other just in case devices within reach.

First of all, this place says online it comes with a complimentary breakfast. Wrong. And weren’t notified at all. So let me paint a picture for you…after driving about 10 hrs from AZ to here for a family funeral, we finally arrived at this motel. the place looked run down if you ask me. Anyways, we had a total of 2 rooms we booked. One a smoking room and the other non smoking. Well without asking they changed the smoking room to a non smoking. No worries the man behind the desk said, I can still accommodate you in a smoking room. Awesome, right? Wrong. My husband and I go upstairs to our smoking room and it had not been touched by any member of the cleaning crew. Gross! We walked back down to talk to the man who checked us in; he told us give him about 30 minutes and the room will be cleaned. Fast forward to 2 hrs later and it was finally cleaned. Only to have what seemed to be a huge party underneath us and loud noises, no parking, and we had to be up early for the funeral. I tried to use the iron they provided. It ruined my blouse I was planning on wearing to the service. Very disappointed, and no I absolutely do not recommend staying here. It was a nightmare and I couldn’t wait to return to AZ.

We picked this hotel because we got a decent deal for a long weekend trip, but I would never stay here again. When we walked into the room there was an extremely strong odor, it smelled like cat litter. After being in the room for about a half hour I called the front desk to see if there was anything they could do because I couldn’t stand the smell any longer. The gal from the front came to our room to check it out, she was very kind, but she said there was nothing she could do. She told us that the room smelled like all the others but because our room was back in a corner and there is no airflow so the odor was stronger in our room. She informed me that all the rooms were full but if the smell was still bothering me the next day to call the front desk and they could possibly switch my room. The next day the odor was just as bad so I called the front desk to see if I could switch to any other room but I was told they were full and there is nothing they could do. I would have understood this but there was obviously several vacant rooms, during my 3 night stay there were maybe 5 cars in the parking lot at any given time, even at night. And in our second night we got back to the hotel about 8pm and I noticed out of all the rooms only 2 or 3 had any lights on. They could have switched my room or tried to help, terrible customer service....besides the terrible smell our room was fairly clean, however, after the 1st night the maids took our top blanket so we had to sleep with only two sheets. I definitely do not...

Terrible customer service and poor facilities!!! Truly, think twice before booking here... I made a reservation requesting a double room located on the first floor for easy access for a disabled person. When we arrived to the hotel, i got a room on then second floor just because they didn't took the time to check my request. Obviously i complained to the person who seem to be in charge to solve the problem since i wouldn't get any refund due to cancellation. The only solution that came to mind to this unproffessional person, was to offer me a one bed bedroom and rent me additional beds. How thoughtful, pay for two extra beds in addition for what i've already payed to accomodate 4 people! Finally she seemed to realized my disconfort and gave us the "2 beds" but, only if i'd carried them to the room... When i thought the problem was entirely solved, I just realized that the nightmare had just begun. "The beds" were worse than those offered in jails, it seemed to be a wired frame folded in a thin sheet. Also, she refused to give me sheets for the beds with an expression in the face of already had made me a big favor. It was a long night of pure disconfort, finishing the nightmare with the poor breakfast they include to their guests.. no bread, no milk or juice. Absolutely NOTHING!!! For real, this is one of the worst service i've ever experienced and hell, i...
