Isla Blanca Park Cabanas — Hotel in Port Isabel

These cabanas are a great deal for travelers who don't need a fancy room, but who want to be able to stay close to the beach. They are very simple with basic amenities, but in my opinion it's everything you need for a beach vacation. They remind me of summer camp cabins I enjoyed as a kid.

Isla Blanca Park is a government owned and operated park. As such, the services are very limited and not the best customer service, however the staff is courteous and are reasonably responsive.

The floors are entirely concrete with no coverings. The bathrooms have a toilet, sink, and shower. The kitchen has a sink, a microwave, and a small fridge. The sleeping area has a bunk bed and a separate full size bed. No linens are provided. Outside the entry door of each cabana there's a picnic table. The parking is just a few steps away from your cabana so it's convenient to unload and load your vehicle.

Don't choose this lodging option if you want a place you can enjoy sitting inside watching TV most of the time you're there. These cabanas don't have a TV or even a couch. However, if you enjoy being a short walk from the beach and a brief drive from all the other activities there are to do in the surrounding area and having a decent place to stay for a reasonable price, then I highly recommend the Isla Blanca...

They were perfect for "glamping" - clean, basic amenities, and SO close to the ocean (with 2 parking spots and a pass to the whole Isla Blanca area) ❤️ Bring most of your camping gear and you'll be set. Nice to have a big shower, clean bathroom all to yourself. So nice to have a fridge and sink, too. We put our little camping stove on the picnic table for breakfast. For the price, pretty tough to beat! Could use some updates/cosmetic repairs, though. And those “mattresses” aren’t the comfiest. Make sure to bring both linens (no fitted sheets as these are not a traditional size) and LOTS of extra padding. The floor is bare/cracked concrete, so some mats will be helpful too.
