Don’t rent at this property - MUST READ!
If you’re renting this condo because of the Pool area don’t do it! I initially rented this condo because my boys rather the pool than the beach and I liked that they had a big pool and nice set up. Little did I know the experience that we’d have. The pool is located right by the clubhouse so be prepared to be watched and harassed the entire time you’re there if you plan on renting here. They also have a camera staring straight at the pool. My son was insulted by an employee that works at the pool area by the name of Ted. He accused him of not having his wristband on when he first entered the pool area. He kept insisting that he didn't have it on and continued to harass my whole family about this wristband situation the entire time we were there which was less than 2 hours. Ted was eager to prove us wrong and stated that he was going to look back on the cameras and FINE us. I told him go right ahead because my son did have his wristband on. Keep in mind other guest were at the pool as well seeing us be humiliated over a wristband . Ted never came back out of the clubhouse so I went to ask him if he’s reviewed the cameras and seen the bracelet on my sons wrist. When I entered the pool house Ted and the property manager Luis were there and they said oh yes we’re reviewing the cameras now. Then Luis gets in my face and tells me that I am being recorded and I clearly don’t know how to read the sign that says wristbands must be worn no exceptions and he has the authority to kick me out because he’s the property manager. I told him I wasn’t going to tolerate being yelled at and attacked by two men over a wristband. We had them with us and my son had his ON. They never said what they found when they reviewed the cameras but I wasn’t going to continue to be yelled at. I told Luis I was going to leave the pool because what they are doing is absurd he said, “Thank you, PLEASE do! “ Needless to say, they saw a woman alone with two boys and thought they could treat me how they wanted too. They ruined our vacation and we never went back to the pool. So please don’t fall for this property because of the pool area! It’s not worth...
Read moreThe security guard/manager/supervisor over the weekend was so unprofessional resulting in my vehicle being towed. He did not do his due diligence of checking for the pass which had fallen onto the cup holders - simple human mistake. He failed to fulfill his job and adequately check the vehicle for the parking pass . He was then very rude and unprofessional In providing details as to the towing company by stating for us to look for the towing company ourselves. As a mother of two small children it was very upsetting as we were trying to pack before the morning and to find our vehicle gone. The security guard was also Observed over the course of our weekend sitting around the pool area eating - hanging out with other residents, I assume. He did not continue to monitor the property through the evening to ensure safety for guests, he stated he was sitting in his room on the 3rd floor. The lack of communication to guests regarding potential issues/possible towing situations should be improved- has to be improved. His sole role was towing of vehicle and during the conversation speaking as it was an accomplishment how many vehicles he towed over the course of the night as we contacted him. Upon picking up the vehicle, the pass was indeed on top of the cupholder as it appeared to have fallen from the rear view mirror. The security guard is unprofessional and needs to be trained appropriately in customer service and satisfaction. The fact that there is no contact “manager” above him is ridiculous. Changes need to be made. He sends me a photo of his “proof of no parking pass” but could not explain if he had done job as looking into the vehicle to inspect which I believe should be part of his job. Besides just taking a photo of the front window. I do Not recommend staying at this location to anyone. The manager/security guard needs to be removed...
Read moreI’d rate it -10 if I could. So for starters my brother in law bought a flight to come state side from the military so we booked a small family vacation with this place. Everyone but the person who signed the rental agreement is under 25. Now here’s where the problems arise. They take the deposit before we even get to read the rental agreement so obviously if we don’t agree to something they still have our money. We read over the agreement a few conflicting things that contradict themselves but no big deal we sign it. Then a few weeks later we receive a call about wristbands when the agreement we signed said if they were required it be mentioned in the rental confirmation (it wasn’t) and so we call she tells me to call who we booked through to get our money back. They basically say gulfview has our money and not them so to contact gulfview again. We do. Then we’re told since we contacted our booking agency gulfview has canceled our reservation and we will be receiving No refund of our money. So I try calling back about this and a refused the access of talking to the manager and then hung up on so I call again the manager says we’ve canceled your reservation we aren’t communicating with you anymore since you have no reservation now and once again I was hung up on. Huge con place. We’re told that all guest must be 25 and not just the person who was in charge of the rental so my kids and younger siblings put us against their HOA rules. Also never stated in anything we signed. If that was the case why did the agreement we signed say guest 3 and under aren’t made to wear a band?
Edit to add: proceeds to still charge my card on file after the bank refunded...
