I have to just start by saying that the pictures in the description for this place are very misleading. This is not a clean, nice place. This is a beach meal shack.
My friend and I went there this evening for dinner, and we were extremely surprised by what we saw based on what had been posted on Google. We came in the beach side and walked right past it at first because it looked like a storage area on the back of a run-down Holiday Inn. It looked like they had a sign at some point, but that seems to have fallen down.
Once we realized that was the place, we were a little hesitant to stay but decided to go ahead and do it.
They have no draft beers only canned beer. So I decided to order a margarita. This was absolutely not good at all. It's probably one of the worst margaritas I've ever had.
We ordered the shrimp basket and street tacos for dinner. Along with mozzarella sticks to start since we were starving. Everything was brought out at the same time. 🤦♀️ But I will say that the street tacos were actually pretty good. The carne asada was perfect and lots of fresh avocado. The shrimp basket was decent enough, although there was no basket involved? The mozzarella sticks were your basic frozen type.
I had to use the restroom, but they don't have one. You have to walk down the alley to the Holiday Inn pool and use their bathroom facilities, which are in awful shape.
Overall, I would say you can probably skip...
Read moreWe ate here as a family of 4 for dinner after a long day at the beach. The view is awesome and is right on the beach. There is more variety of food than other popular beachside grills for sure. To get here, we parked at the Holiday Inn parking area if you are driving and checked in to the front desk. There is a long walkway with a sign for Seaside Bar and Grill. Otherwise walk straight in from the beach. Restrooms have codes and are for paying customers only and are very clean.
I rated the food 1-10 (10 being the best flavor). We ordered kids cheese quesadilla (9/10); the shrimp plate, just the right amount of crispy and delicious (9.5/10); 2 orders of street tacos (9/10) try the green salsa for a more spicy kick or the red for more on the mild side; Mexican shrimp cocktail (8.5/10)-more like an appetizer, but flavor was excellent.
We also ordered the most popular drink Mangonada (7/10), it was just okay, they did offer to remake it, but needed a bit more nectar to give it that tropical splash-which they brought to me no charge. Our server Diego and bartender were super accommodating and courteous. Service was excellent. If you want to check out faster, use cash. Watch out for the ants and aggressive birds. Try and snag one of the counter height tables for better views. The wait is long as this is not fast food, so be prepared, but it is...
Read moreI dont like to criticize business on a public forum, but we just ate here, actually, we're still eating and to be honest, it hasn't been good. The one server who's the bartender, waitress, food runner, etc, need helps and needs it fast! I assume there is only one cook too. We were a table of 8 (4 adults / 4 kids) it took over an hour from when we ordered to when our food arrived. When the food did arrive, only 5 of the 8 meals came out. It took an additional 30 minutes for the final meals to come out. The quality of the food was not good. The drink orders were not correct either. This restaurant could be great, but for God sakes please get some staff to help or stop food service and just sell drinks. This place had a lot of guests sitting here and everyone of us were getting annoyed but how long it took. The woman working was doing her best. She was sweet, but struggled to speak English (thankfully we have a bilingual person in our group) . No issues with her, she...
