We ended up at the Hampton Inn in Princeton, WV completely by chance after breaking down in the mountains and I’m so glad we did. The staff went above and beyond to make a stressful situation feel easier, and they were incredibly accommodating with our two huskies. The dogs had the best time playing and then crashing on the comfy bed! The rooms were clean and comfortable, the breakfast was amazing, and the pool was spotless and exactly what we needed to relax. What started as a rough day turned into a surprisingly good stay thanks to how kind and helpful everyone was. Highly recommend if you’re ever passing through! @hilton #hamptoninn #tiktokgo #TikTokGOStay #hotelstay #petfriendlyhotel

I unfortunately had quite an unpleasant stay at this hotel. This was my third time at this hotel specifically (and I travel for work, so I've stayed in many other hotels) and while I had some issues with my previous two stays, this was one of the worst stays I've ever had in any hotel. Let me preface this by saying that all of my issues were not as a result of the staff. The staff here was very friendly, polite, and accommodating to me and they do an excellent job. It's not their fault that they work in a hotel with so many issues. That's why I gave overall service a 5/5 stars. I was first placed on the 3rd floor. Upon arriving to my room, unloading all of my things, and generally winding down for the evening, I enter the bathroom to find 3 cockroaches on the floor, as seen in the picture. I was quite alarmed and immediately gathered my things and headed downstairs to ask to switch rooms. The lady at the front desk was very understanding and apologetic. She graciously was able to get me into another room with no hassle or questions asked. Upon arriving to my new room on the 5th floor, I immediately noticed the sheer amount of dust and general unkemptness of the floor due to active work on the rooms. The front desk employee warned me about this but I agreed to stay on the floor anyways. That really wasn't a major issue to me, but more issues began once I opened my door. The door itself was a bit jammed into the wall and was difficult to open. As soon as I opened it, the hinge completely fell out of the door, as seen in the picture. I now could only get the door closed by squeezing into very small space that I was able to get the door open to with the broken hinge. And to shut the door again, I had to squeeze out of that space and place the broken hinge on top of the door. It was quite aggravating. After working in the cold all day, I was very much looking forward to a hot shower, which is where I had issues with this hotel in the past and once again that evening. Almost a complete lack of hot water, only coming in intermittent lukewarm bursts. This was extremely frustrating because, as aforementioned, I was working in the cold all day and just wanted a warm shower. Instead, I was shivering while bathing. This is the third time this has happened at this hotel. The toilet also continuously made noises throughout my entire stay, a clear sign that something was wrong with it. I didn't want to bother the front desk with another room switch so I stuck it out for the rest of my stay. Then, as I was about to head downstairs to check out, I found MORE bugs in my room. I couldn't get a proper identification but I believe they were termites, as pictured below. I've given this hotel 3 chances and I've simply given up on it. It has been issue after issue, the number of which I simply have never had at other hotels. I will most definitely be taking my business elsewhere. I hate to leave negative reviews, but the general state of this hotel is just unacceptable. I truly expected more from a Hampton Inn. Please save your money and stay somewhere else!

We are Diamond members, traveling constantly for our kids’ competitive sports, often choosing Hilton without hesitation. This trip was no different—after a seven-hour road trip, the four of us (plus my service dog) rolled in, dreaming of a quick swim and some relaxation. Spoiler alert: that dream died fast. We used the Hilton app to check in, but I went down to the desk for a second key so my husband and I could both access the room and amenities. I gave my room number, and—without asking for my name, ID, or even confirming I belonged there—the employee just handed me a key and said, “Have a good night.” I’m sorry, WHAT? That’s not customer service, that’s a security disaster waiting to happen. We stayed in room 504, where we were greeted by a musty, dirty odor strong enough to knock you backward. The room looked like it hadn’t seen a dust cloth in years. The bathtub? Absolutely disgusting. Several light bulbs were out. The beds were lumpy and uncomfortable, the whole place felt like a tropical rainforest with the humidity, and the Wi-Fi (which I need for my work as a REALTOR®) didn’t connect at all. To top it off, the shower had no hot water, and by morning, I’d developed a sore throat. The pool was supposed to be our redemption moment. Instead, an interior light fixture came loose while my kids were in the water. We immediately got them out and told the staff. Two hours later, the pool was still open and people were still swimming like nothing happened. Because apparently, here, safety hazards double as “added ambiance.” Then there’s the “pet relief” area—a 5x5 patch of grass that looked like a landmine field of other dogs’ poop, with shards of glass scattered throughout. The bag dispensers were empty, not that I didn’t bring my own. My poor service dog deserves better than that. And just when I thought I’d seen it all, I spotted exposed wires on the 5th floor, seemingly connected to a security camera. Nothing says “welcome” quite like loose electrical wiring. The one and only pleasant surprise? Breakfast. It was actually good—shockingly good, given everything else. Unfortunately, one decent meal doesn’t erase the fact that this stay was dirty, unsafe, uncomfortable, and far below the standard Hilton promises, especially for Diamond members.

Hampton Inn is now my home away from home. I will stay here again. No other hotel in the area can compete with this place. I stayed here with my almost 2 year old and my husband for 3 weeks while my house was under construction. Every staff member I interacted with treated us extremely well. Everyone from the front desk to the housekeeping and maintenence crew were welcoming, helpful, and friendly at all times. You can tell that the staff works well together and is more like a family. The breakfast ladies, Charity and Peggy are amazing. Both ladies were super friendly and it was obvious they work hard to provide good service and fresh food and keep the place clean at all times. Charity was especially wonderful. She went out of her way to make me and my daughter and my husband feel like family. She treated my daughter like her own. I'm eternally grateful. We found ourselves excited to wake up and go to breakfast just to see our good friends each morning. I would give Charity a 10 star review if possible. Charity and miss Peggy go above and beyond and always seem to have a positive attitude. They cleary enjoy doing their jobs. I want to thank those ladies so much for making our stay feel like an amazing family vacation. I also want to thank Tiffany, Anthony, and Destiny at the front desk for being so kind and always taking care of us. I wish I knew the other front desk staff members names. But everyone was helpful. I didn't get the names of the housekeeping ladies. But there are quite a few of them and I think they all do an excellent job. They were always polite, professional, and checked in on us every day to see if we needed anything at all. You will not regret staying at this hotel. The room was nice and clean and the salt water pool was a really nice way to relax and enjoy our evenings. If you like clean and comfy, you'll...
