8/30/2018 - We had to work and reserved a preowned PS4 Pro and a game online to be picked up later in the evening. We wanted to pay online and then have someone lese pick it up, but that wasn't an option. There is a sentimental aspect to this. I will save you the details. That's why I reserved the items online in the first place. I called earlier in the day to check business hours and ask a few questions. The associate told me we close at 9pm. Google has the hours posted for 9:00 pm. I plan for this. We arrive at the Walmart Plaza Gamestop location at 8:25 pm. The store lights are on. We approach the door and the door is locked. We knock. We wait. We knock. We wait. The attendant had closed early, and left the appearance of being open. The hours physically posted at the storefront read that 9pm was closing time. We gave our phone number on the online reserve submission. A courtesy call to say hey we have to close early would have been a good business practice. I am very displeased by this. We wasted our time and money. I will order games off Amazon in the future. They are a far superior company anyways and I can save money. Retail stores are loosing a foot in the market anyways. They can't really afford to let occurences like this...
Read moreThe only gamestop I will shop at. Even if it's inconvenient to get to I'll still make a trip to see Darrell, Ashley and the gang. They don't push the sales tactics that gamestop Corp try to make them do, and I think that's why they are busier than any other location. People appreciate being able to shop, and chat with the staff without being forced to buy something. I love going in and talking to Darrell about random games and interests, he actually listens and responds instead of how other stores just ignore you unless you're buying. Sometimes I'll pop in just to browse, or just to chat. It's what gamestop should want all their stores to look like, because they'd probably have a lot better reception, if all their customers felt like friends to the staff, like I do when I go in here. Best gamestop ever. I'll defend Darrell's store as long as they remain there to run it the way gamestop...
Read moreNever has Pokémon cards. A whole section of wall for tcgs, and all that's there is a few Dragonball packs and Lorcana. Shows you have Union Arena at your store, but employees have no idea what that is (its been out for almost a year now). Again, says online they have some in-stock, so either the employees haven't been putting it out or dont feel like putting them out. I didn't even see One Piece or Magic cards available outside of 99 cents box of singles. I dont know why I keep hoping GS is gonna have...
