I stayed with MainStay for 8 nights. It was in a great location to everything and everywhere I needed to be. Over all staff were friendly and accommodating. There were. Few things to point out: Keys always stopped working, we went through many keys and they changed the battery to our door but weirdly the key just kept not working. The Washers in Laundry worked but the dryers didn’t, while most the dryers didn’t dry, the right top one burned all of our clothes on medium heat on one cycle. We told the maintenance worker and he burnt his hand when he touched it as well. We also let them know their dryer vents weren’t connected. The room was non smoking but it has definitely been smoked in, it had a foul smell. We had to go to Walmart to get febreeze. While there are dishes and utensils there is No dish soap, we just purchased some while at the store. I’m not sure how it happens with a major hotel but one night they did place a sign on the front desk stating there were no more towels. There was no “common area” for families. The breakfast area had the chairs flipped up on the table daily but we did use them for dinner when we ate in or to play game on down time. They seemed ok with us doing this but I felt bad using it when it felt they wanted it off limits. Breakfast was very limited but I knew this prior to booking and wasn’t a big deal with Walmart close by we bought breakfast food to eat. Sheets are microfiber. This isn’t the end of the world but super hard on my already dry skin. the Tv didn’t work for awhile and when my husband did get it fixed it was very limited channels, kids channels such as Disney stated they weren’t included in the subscription there were no outside trash cans Side doors were noted you needed a key but they were never locked In review this is a moderately priced hotel and I’m quite shocked it is. It’s nice they can accommodate larger families and has a kitchenette but I would have priced this at low $100’s a night, seems to be missing what other competitors offer in the same...
Read moreMy family stayed here for 1 night. We travel all the time and stay in hotels all the time, atleast 20+ hotels a year. The area is beautiful. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are huge and clean! We absolutely love the room setup. The location is perfect for everything around. The kitchenette has everything you need with some minor things to purchase, like salt n pepper and other food items you like. The indoor pool was a great temperature, and it was great for swimming, kids lasted hours, but no hot tub or jacuzzi as they had it listed in the amenities. (Unless it's outside and we missed it??) The receptionist was not always available at the front. The only reason I'm not giving this hotel 5 stars is the elevator and the breakfast or the lack thereof for the price and how amazing this hotel is their breakfast is so disappointing. It's like staying in a 5 star hotel, and then the breakfast reminded me of staying in a hotel at half the cost like a 1 star.... Seriously! So what they do have is yogurt, juice (ran out in the machine), 2 types of prepacked muffins, boiled eggs, bagels, flavored cream cheese, oatmeal, cereal and coffee. They do have flavored creamers and good coffee. I highly recommend adding hot items like scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, and gravy. At the price you charge, it wouldn't cost that much to add these items for your guest.
The elevator is scary it shakes like you do a Polaroid picture when you get to your floor.😅 my husband said there is probably air in the lines, so maybe get that looked at? For someone who is scared of elevators, this is definitely the scariest elevator I've ever been in. 😅 could be a ride at Disney. We would stay here again but next time we will be more prepared for...
Read moreI regularly stay at this hotel on a sometimes weekly basis and arrived around 11 PM to check in. The staff said my card was declined. This was impossible because I’d just used the card moments earlier. I asked what options I had as it was 11 PM and freezing cold outside and I didn’t really want to go elsewhere. I offered to pay in cash, use my rewards points, tried to get them to help me prepay the room through the app instead. There were 2 staff members there basically ignoring me and offered no help to allow me to prepay the room or use my points or pay cash. I insisted that the card worked just fine if they could please help me cancel the reservation and instead prepay it through the app. Neither offered any kind of assistance and continued ignoring me while doing paperwork. I was so upset I stood there and actually prepaid a room at a hotel across the street. My card worked just fine. I was appalled that no one offered to assist me to be able to utilize my reservation and instead were just fine with me going across the road to their competitors instead. I’m a diamond rewards member and travel to this hotel often. I will never again stay at this location. When I asked the girl to cancel my reservation because I made one across the street at Comfort Inn via the app with the same exact card, she didn’t even bother to look up and make eye contact and just said, “okay”. Lesson learned. I’ll gladly give my business to a hotel who actually treats customers decently and would actually offer potential solutions rather than ignoring a guest and letting them walk out rather than offering any other solutions on how to pay the reservation when their system was obviously...
