My family and I are incredibly disappointed with the service quality. We've lived here since 2016 and have remained loyal patrons of this restaurant. Visiting multiple times a month for either breakfast or Dinner. We've noticed a degradation in the services from the staff within this past few months. Tonight, was the straw that broke the camels back. We sat there tonight for an hour to only find out by a host who did not wait on our table that the waitress with the poorly dyed red hair forgot to put in our order. He was very gracious (I remember him from the last time we came for dinner. He was having a rough day due to low staff and was so amazing and we received our food promptly) and apologized to us stating that he was just told the waitress just realized she didn't put in our order. We went there tonight right after my daughter's soccer game for a small celebration dinner. Instead, we ended up leaving as our food was never put in.
I'm not angry about the mistake. I'm angry that she did not bother checking in with our table and apologize herself for her mistake. She made no attempt to remedy the situation. Instead, she passes the buck to her co-worker to take the responsibility of addressing the situation. He comped our drinks and apologized for a mistake that wasn't his to own. IT WAS HERS! She must be new because I do not recognize seeing her before. She needs remedial training.
We were very polite to her and made sure our children said thank you after they gave her their order. It wasn't like we were rude.
She expressed no accountability for her mistake and lack of customer service and customer quality skills.
We will never return to Perkins again. The older blonde lady the last time put a sour taste in our mouths as it was. This lady with the poorly dyed red hair was just completely disrespectful with a total disregard for those she's servicing.
We came in during a slow time. The few families that were there were already eating when we came in. It wasn't busy. We were the only ones ordering at that time and wasn't till a half hour till a few families came in. We sat there for an hour and not one person came to our table to give us an update on our order. The person who should've took no accountability for herself and passed it off to someone else instead of owning up to her mistake. I had to go to the guy at the cash register to ask him if we could get the bill for the drinks and cancel our dinner order. He apologized for her mess up and comped us. Every time I see that young man he has always expressed professionalism and very attentive. Even on his bad days he was always pleasant. He should get a bonus, promotion and a raise. He works hard, expresses quality customer service, quick in his approach to remedy situations, and just all around professional expressing his knowledge and experience in hospitality. My family and I want to thank him for always being a delightful person. As for the other two ladies... some things are best left unsaid. Btw- your ladies...
Read moreWe arrived and we got seated, there was like 3 other tables of people who all had there food. When the waitress came up to order, she dropped off our menus and disappeared. She didn't come back for 10 minutes, when she did come back we were ready to order our meals and drinks, we had been for awhile. She took our drink orders and we said we were ready to order food, she said let me go get those drinks and then I will take your order, okay cool understood. But then she took our meals and left,which was all a very easy and simple breakfast, pancakes and eggs and a French toast. And a rare steak. Well she took our order and during this time there were other waitresses, helping people. We were the only one at the back closest to the interstate side with our waitress. There was 4 of us. 2 young kids and 2 adults. A couple came in and sat next to us with 4 kids. They got the drinks right away and ordered quickly. And at this point we had been waiting 15 minutes, okay no problem. But then there food came out 10 minutes after they ordered, all breakfast items, same thing except for the steak as our. And we were still waiting for ours. And still no site of our waitress and we got the endless coffee which was burnt and we need more sugar and cream. Finally the other family is over halfway done with their meal, and we got ours. I got the rare steak and eggs breakfast, and I was trying to help our youngest child with her food, she is 4, and the waitress kept trying to hurry me into cutting my steak open so she could leave, even stated that she couldn't walk away until the steak was cut. So I dropped trying to help and cut into the steak, it was all rare(amazing!!) But it was cold. The food wasn't that great, the eggs didn't look fresh, and hashbrowns were not cooked fully. As we were eating someone was gagging in the back loudly and saying something looked gross. The manager came out and said the card readers were down and pay cash, he would take 20% off if we had to run to an ATM. We had to run to an ATM and then the 20% was never even applied. Read moreMy girlfriend and I went to Perkins on north elkvale rd, late night as we were out and about taking pictures of the moon and stars.( it’s a girlfriend thing) greeted by a very courteous and friendly host, then immediately our waitress. She presented herself Very well, very respectful, friendly and courteous in every way. Got out drinks right away followed by a few minutes later took our order. Food was prepared & served perfectly and the taste was just like I remember. I really did not need to tell the waitress what I wanted as she remembered our names and what I wanted from the previous time we had been there several months before. Couldn’t ask for better employees. When we paid and went to leave it was now closing time, but the battery in our car was completely dead. The manager helped all he could while he could all the while he had the store to shut down. Our waitress went out of her way, call several people to come help us, in which her boyfriend came right over from a few miles away to help. All three of them stayed right there with us even after closing to help, even offering us a ride, call us a Lyft or uber, the waitress even offered to pay for the Lyft or Uber. We quickly turned her down as her boyfriend was able to finally help get our car started. We tried several times to pay them for their help and they refused to except any kind of payment. Absolutely fantastic, amazing, AWESOME people there. Ur not a number or dollar sign to the employees at Perkins on North Elkvale rd, you are human beings to them and will without a doubt go above, beyond any and everything to make sure you are getting great service, making ur safety number 1.
